As for Nishi, you're forgetting the time in the train with Izumi, which was an important occasion; showed Nishi's knowledge is on par with Izumi's (or at least with the old Izumi), and that Izumi, being a sob, kept info for himself, and that Nishi surprisingly tried to help, in a way (calling Cherry). It's interesting, just as a side note, that Nishi tried sharing his knowledge both in the end of the Onion alien mission and in the end of the Nurarihyon mission and both times the people he tried to "help" didn't really appreciate the gesture. Poor Nishi.

Someone mentioned how Kurono would protect Tae now, and that gave me an idea, unlikely, but even so: what if Kurono, after seeing how the world will begin to crumble, thought of the only salvation being Gantz and actually recruiting - or trying to recruit - Tae with the contact during transfer technique (even though that isn't a given). She's already in the database anyway. I'm really eager to know whether the missions will continue to exist or if daily life surviving will be the new mission...

@ KingKamehameha: That wasn't a bashing, don't take it the wrong way needlessly. Black Sheep was only sharing information that you might've not know and, from the looks of it, you really was unaware of the fact. The manga translation community isn't all that strict. NJT and Hisshou's translations sometimes have pretty distinct interpretations. No one would complain if you added yours too, the more the merrier.

KingKamehameha is right...i even asked NJT for that line.

Kame's translation is accurate. Even so, it could have many interpretations...IMO that guy is talking about another inccidents related to the Alien Hunt.

And secondly, remember what happened the last time Kurono punched someone who threatened Tae? He died. I doubt Kurono want's a revisit of the Tae mission. That, and I think he wants to live as normal a life as possible while he still can. After the next mission either the world will be destroyed/changed as we know it...or people will know Kurono is the leader of the "black ops".

as far as we know, after the oni mission we don't know if they can talk openly about gantz yet.

^doesn't make sense - gantz did not sanction him when he sent Kaze flying infront of five or four bystanders, which is much bigger breach than an anonymous punch

Well, even if kurono fought back against the shcool bullies, he never hit someone using the suit, the only exception is the rapist and kurono did not know his suit wwas not working anyway.

Whatever is taking it slow this month, says their website. If, like me, you were waiting for their scanlations of 272, you're probably better off taking Jide or FH.

This was rather a boring chapter. No development at all just useless babbling from the students and a pointless flashback about how his life sucked before he entered Gantz.

Well if that how people treat him when he tries to help. It is no wonder that he does not do it more often. Also slightly off topic but does anyone in Gantz refer to Nishi by his name?It seems that everyone calls him that middle schooler.

@Shin: Scanlations have been a bit weird lately, IMO. If I had fluency with Spanish, I'd get Shani's version. There's also that interesting colored version...

As far as the chapter is concerned, I think it really goes to show everyday life in its boringness, with the contrast of the upcoming catastrophe consuming Kurono's thoughts.
If we get something like that for all characters I think it'd be a nice way of introducting the change that's about to happen.
