Back to the topic about Nishi, I think his goal in Gantz is just reach 100 points and quit. He said so himself in the earlier episode (you also mentioned in your post above). I'm quite surprised that he was the one who explained about Catastrophe.

My opinion, he just want to live his remaining live peacefully (not knowing what happen in the world).

Regarding Nishi want to form a strong team, I also have a big doubt about it. You can say that he is a self centered bastard (pardon the language) that act individually. I could be wrong though

though i guess i had better posted this into the spoiler thread, I still think this theme is big enough for it's own thread.

We don't have to stick to my theory, but everyone can post his own theories about the purpose and the backround of the gantz ball.

We have our own nishi thread, we have our own 'hoi hoi reviving izumi with 100 points' thread, so this theme should have it's own thread, too, because actually it's very big, and since the spoiler threads content various posts to various aspects of gantz, it is easier to discuss it here, in my opinion.

I am really curious about the next chapter, possibly we will get to see some Nishi action.

Nice theory, Lucky. Right from the beginning I've always thought there was something deeper and more sinister to Nishi. He knows way way too much to be another random Gantz soldier. Even by playing for years there's no way you can learn all that, because who would you learn it from? Nishi either has some inside source, can converse directly with Gantz, or is Gantz itself (that one would be a bit of a stretch though)

I think Gantz is benign, it just has extremely brutal training measures.

Hopefully much more will be revealed in upcoming issues. Especially if they only have a week left for the human race, heh.
