I don’t think so, but he’s been there long enough to thoroughly experiment with the system, that’s for sure.

Hopefully now we’ll get a Nishi-flashback arc to learn of whatever other information he might have, if any at all--because this would be a good time to do it. We’re fast approaching the end (as confirmed by the comment on the last page of this chapter), and we need substantial plot development.

^It seems that nishi was not a waste of a 100 ptz after all - he does know a hell lot...

Oh well, the assuming the manga is gonna end soon (or at the very least this phase), well the stage seems set - Kurono/Katou/Nishi were the original "good gantzers" from the first two missions. Until Nishi/Katou/Kurono died, i fully expected oku to carry them to the endgame. Nishi had the answers, Katou was the good guy, Kurono was the hero. You don't really need more for a good manga. Now that they all are here...

Looks like I picked the perfect time to start Gantz, anything with a doomsday clock is worth reading.

When said "good gantzers" you mean in terms of sills? I would never peg Nishi as a good guy

I wonder. If this were any other manga, I would expect some time spent on explaining where the gantzball comes from, who the vamps are and all that jazz. But I don't think that the manga is about giving answers.

The whole Nuri arc made me wonder if the author was getting tired of the series. I guess the end is inevitable. I'm just really glad that Kurono will be there for it.

I'm doubtful about any end to Gantz. Rather, the story is truly moving forward. I predict we're getting more of a 'God-Hand'-ish event in those 7 days (for those who've read Berserk) rather than a conclusion to the series. Though we may, indeed, not get any answers to some questions.

We knew this was coming since the beginning of the 2nd Phase.

Now I'm wondering, will Gantz turn into a mecha series? You know lots of other veteran Gantzers are gonna be using the giant robot reward or at least the enhanced suit.

Judging from Katou's scoring, it'll be 5-7 more missions before anyone from TT will get a mech.
