I doubt he's still alive. They said his pulse was very weak when they were done with Kitsune and Tengu. That was before the real fight with Nuri even started. So yeah, I don't think we'll see him again.

Anyway, i think from next chapter onwards oku will focus on the history of gantz and how it come about... since the whole world is gonna know about the alien, i bet the main arch is gonna kick in soon. So is about time they start building up to the main Arc of the manga.. =] Almost all the impt cast is back..
