There's more to being a mod than just closing threads and cleaning out the trash. You have to negotiate at times, and educate people. A mod should be someone with patience, understanding and empathy as well as a deep understanding of the rules written and unwritten, not just the ability to be hardliner.

I'm not saying you don't have that, I wouldn't know, I'm just saying it's best not to fall into the trap of being a stereotypical mod.
