That wasn't really helpful in my opinion, if a bad situation like the one Kurono had in the Chibi Alien mission, been send to the room is very helpful, you can lose your points but at least you are alive with no injures and a functional suit...
But now they must face the Alien until it's dead, no matter the difficult.
Indeed, that wasn't really a helping hand at all. And it nearly got'em all killed.
The only "intereferrence" Gantz has made this time around was shrinking the area and that's just about as good as eliminating the timer.
I wouldn't deposit any hope in Gantz himself helping the team for now. At least while HS, Oka, Sakurai and Katou are alive.
I can't see Gantz lending them a hand at all. Whatever happens. If Nuri kills the Gantzers, the mission is just over and Gantz will bring in new people to use and terrorize.
Not that it'll happen. Somehow they will get rid of Nuri for us and I don't think that too many of them will die in the process.
But it'll probably take at least 5 chapters until it's done.

On the topic of this chapter: I so hope that "At the end Nuri changes his shape again and defeats Kaze once and for all" means Kaze is dead.

I got this theory about Nuri's power, I maybe mentioned already:
At first stage Nuri seems to absorb the power of the 1 pointers, see here at Gantz 256 page 24.
After the first attack he seemed to became weak with only his head, and maybe absorbed material from dead bystanders to gain his body again: Gantz 263 page 25
Then he changes to the female structure at Gantz 264 page 26, Nuri absorbed the power of the mid term bosses (Tengu and Kitsune) to become very powerful. In addition he absorbed Georges body (spitting out the head, maybe the chip) and Kuwa's limps to get an even more powerful transformation.
So maybe if Nuri runs out of matter, he gets weaker and weaker, just when he was a mere head at the beginning and can easily be killed...
Nuff' speculation, that's the theory anyway...
Oh, and thanks for the spoilers Cali. The pics look crappy, must be the cam. I hope Kaze doesn't die in this chap.
Absorbing Geoge's body... I haven't thought of that. Taking of the chip adds pretty well too, though it'd be harmless to Nuri anyway. It's a good theory, but I don't think that's the case for the 1pointers and the other youkais.
I do find odd that after growing hands from his ears and being able to instantaneously recover, he'd limit himself to only the head once again and reattach to his former also reconstrcuted body or another body that was laying there (at first I thought it was the youkai Kaze defeated, but the size is quite smaller to be it).
As for the 1 pointers, I was under the impression it was just Nuri being crazy with a strange ritual, but it could be some sort of power absorption.
And for the midbosses, in that case I don't think there was any merging, unless it was at a "youki" level. This reminds me I have some info that I should've added back when 273 was around, I'll just find and post it soon.
About Nuri absorbing matter sounds like a good theory but it has a big hole.
If Nuri absorbs matter that would mean it has a limited amount. Then why does Nuri while fight Kaze purposely pick a weak form then even start ripping out its organs?
I doubt Nuri would be so stupid to waste matter if has a limited supply. Gantz described Nuri as clever which seems to be true so far.
Nuri's an alien. His thought process doesn't have to make sense, nor resemble a human's.
This is getting ridiculous...
Osakan Spirit Bomb please...
Morten, I'm going to have to disagree with your theory. Firstly, the 1 pointers melting was supposed to be a way of giving the reader a glimpse into Nuri's method of attack, which was further showcased after it regenerated and melted loads of aliens around it. When it gained it's body back, there wasn't really given any strong insight to how it got the body back...if it absorbed dead material, or if the body just grew back on it's own, it doesn't really matter in Oku's eyes. George's death is the same: no significance is given to where his body goes.
If you look at past bosses, there has always been some kind foreshadowing to his weakness: the bird alien had the smaller ones suffocating, hinting that the removal of the breathing apparatus would weaken it; buddha boss had quite a few panels dedicated to the regeneration wheel; the massive dinosaur had the smaller dinosaur to show how to kill it earlier on in the mission.
You ask me, Nuri either doesn't have a 'weakness' as such, or it hasn't been shown yet.
