Thread: Palm-Ray Gun theory...

Right, we know that the X-gun and -rifle both use nanomachines that explode inside the target, right? (At least, wikipedia says this :S) Would it then be safe to assume that the Palm-Ray gun is really just a more concentrated version of that? It has a delay while it powers up, and when it hits there is an "explosion" as such, followed by more and more of these holes, before the energy is dispersed.

In theory it definetely makes sense. It does seem like a beefed up X gun. Yet, I am unsure of whether you get it with the suit or not. We can only hope to find out how the point system works later.

I'm not really sure about the nanomachines issue, someone who can actually read Japanese could answer this for us, consulting the manual.
Anyway, I don't think the palm-ray-gun works the same way as the x-equipments. It seemed more like it was disintegrating Nuri instead of making him expand and kaboom. At least to me.

Hmm...looking back at when he uses it, it seems a mixture of both: it's disintegrated the parts it hits, but also kinda blows everything else away.

It looked like explosions in many places, maybe the scanner of Oka suit can be used target specific areas.

^ now that I look back at it yah, it looks like its a chain reaction of explosions. And looking on page 11 of 271, it looks like it create a giant orb around his target, destroying with mini explosions in it. Kinda like Salome's special attack in Makai Kingdom.

@Cali- I think that you said something about wondering how Oka's suit comes off. It looks like in the spoiler pics that Nuri just knocks the entire body off like he did the mask. He probably hit the arms off first though.

^ But I think Nuri slices Oka in half in those images, and also, it seems it's an hallucination maybe caused by Nuri.

I think there is actually a page where you see a ball leaving his palm. Can't be bothered looking it up right now. Can anyone confirm this?

^ A "ball" is not seen, but there's lots of flash effects.
Also, it seems the energy stuff first disintegrates the "central target" and the destruction spreads through the rest of the body. For those who read Inuyasha, I believe it'd be something similar to Sesshoumaru's Bakusaiga attack.
