I wonder if the entire Gantz Game only operates in the major cities of developed countries. In America's case it would be in New York, Los Angeles, Washington D.C.

Nishi also implied that Gantz operates in Israel as well. Somehow I think the Israelis might have an easier time with Gantz than the Japanese. Israel is a more militarily active nation than Japan (just about all their neighbors don't like them). I'd imagine that an Israeli commando with a Gantz Suit and weaponry would be a force to reckon with.

I just can't see the Black Ball easily hiding in a straw hut.

^Come on, seriously, there is more to the US than L.A, N.Y and D.C.
As for commandos, I think US Iraq vets are the real harballers - Killing and live-fire exposure, hard core urban warfare tactical experience, taking on suicide tactics and invisible enemies, risk of collateral civilian damage... all in all, Gantz minus the aliens...

Well, we've only seem two Gantz rooms, but at least in those, apparently, there is a need to place the room with a view to a known monument, maybe in order for the people to realize they're indeed alive and in a real place. Which makes me wonder where that "straw hut" would be.

Oh of course, I meant those as examples. There's also San Francisco, Las Vegas, Seattle, Baltimore, etc. Come to think of it, Aliens could probably walk the streets of Las Vegas and L.A. without any disguises.

Be that as it may, Israel has a higher ratio of military in their population. I think the Gantz in Jerusalem or Tel Aviv is more likely to bring in trained soldiers than the Gantz in a city like Chicago.

Anyways, Nishi's website mentions something about "The End of the World." I think that once Kurono is back from his trip to the underworld, both Nishi and the reporter will reveal intel that will set the protagonists on a quest for the truth rather than just survive and be free. Because it's pretty clear by now that a 100 point retirement from Gantz isn't permanent. Izumi proved that Gantz will still keep tabs on you if you interest him.

Since military service is mandatory in Israel I bet they have a pretty strong team. It makes me wonder how different countries teams are. I'd like to see a Gantz team from some third-world hellhole like Darfur or Rawanda. Missions would probably be a step up since at least they'd have better weapons and suits for protection.

Not only that, but bad people in said hellholes might be tempted to use Gantz technology for terrorism and civil wars, or maybe in a more indirect fashion, like to blast their way to the top of their political structure without the fear of assassination.

So at the end of the day, the end of the world could happen, not because of aliens, but of people who abuse the gantz technology meant to fight them?

    That's an interesting prediction indeed.
If we take Gantz as something that enjoys chaos and has fun with carnage, that could very well be the case. After all, he does allow the use of equipment for selfish purposes.

Well that's one of the reasons why I wonder if Gantz operates in less developed countries. If Gantz isn't present in third world countries, then that's telling of his origin. Whatever ties individual Gantz Cells together is selective of Civilization level.

What we definitely know is that he seems to be around the major urban developments. I just can't picture Gantz in a rural village.

As I've mentioned before, I do believe the position of the "room" has to be placed somewhere near a recognisable monument of some sort. For Tokyo is the Tokyo Tower, for Osaka is "Tsuutenkaku". Also, it should be located on some sort of 'central place' in order to avoid suspicions, as well as being something that could pass as a hotel to justify people coming out of it? Just some ideas.
