Yo, after talking with Angryman, I've decided to make a doujin from the RPG that's going on right now. I've only done 1 picture so far (a character that I plan on putting in the rpg whenever I get a chance to join).



Unfortunately, my scanner is busted atm so the picture didnt come out as clear as it should be. But anyways, if possible, could the current people involved in the rpg give me a detailed explanation of ur character? It would make things much easier, but I'm fine with looking through the old threads.

Another thing, if any1 is good with photoshop, would you like to help me with the coloring and whatnot? I personally can't use it to save my life haha

Anyways, I'll try and work on my art abit more. Tell me what you guys think

I think you need to work more on your feet and your arms. He looks like he's floating and his forearms are not proportional. He also looks a little 2 dimensional (thats probably just the scanners fault or if its a cam shot, the angles fault) but other than that, I really like it.

For coloring, give him black with a few shine spots (there are many ways to do that) and then make another layer with a blue overlay. That's how to do the suit. Someone else should tell you how to get a realistic skin tone.

yea, i really suck with feet so there's not gonna be too many full frontal shots lol. but ur right, i should have done more with the hands and feet instead of just throwin em up there. I also think i made his chest alittle too big aswell. Ehh, I'll have to redraw him pretty soon

^yeah, just remember to look at forms and shapes intensely. Maybe try drawing real people out of magazines and then go for the anime look (that helped me tremendously). I'm an artist as well (but I still think my bodies suck) and the body is incredibly hard to draw especially from memory. Maybe I'll try my hand at drawing some doujin. I haven't posted my artwork here in a while.

hmm...do u draw freehand or go through all the steps? Like the boxes and cirlces

I try to do a mix of both. I use skeletons but not to the point of ruining my drawing. They help a lot to get proportions right. I just use circles tho.

As for drawing Shinnosuke Shima or "Shin", my character...

He is 5'6" about 140ish lbs (the exact weight is in the OOC thread in the first pages, I honestly forgot how much), and he looks like Inaba from the Kappe thread (with the gruff but no cap). And he has a plain suit, xshotgun and a ygun in his right hip strap.

This scene is really getting busy... maybe i should get off my arse and finish that Gantz one player RPG i'm working on... well, I also have to translate stuff for Gantz Otaku as well... yup, busy scene... thanks popo. after talking to u last night, i learned a new method of drawing people. i couldn't go through the steps before, only freehand, thankfully i can now.

@ikari, u explained well enough. if he looks like inaba then i think i can get it done by using him as a base

Well, for my character, I wouldn't know what I should say about her. The face of Naomi is cute. Dunno if you are drawing by motives from the manga or reality, but you could compare her with Kishimoto, in a way. Just that her hair is longer, going 'over' her shoulder blades (it's longer than shoulder length) and black. She is about 5'5" tall, currently has a weight of 111 pounds (less than during the last arc) and has a normal bust.
(Honestly, I just can't stand looking at Reika's, Kishimoto's or "girlfriend"'s bust, because I thing it's simply overdone.)
Well, she has a bit more than Tae. But not too much. Simply think of an attractive girl of 16 years and you should be fine.
