Edit: And for all you other newbs, heres some factors to determine if your thread is a useless pile of dogshit.

Your thread should usually not:
1. Ask a question that can be answered with one post (or in this case, one word that is unable to meet post requirements).
2. talk about something that has been discussed on another thread in detail.
3. Be fucking stupid (I'll let you judge the last one.)

A good thread should
1. Promote good detailed discussion
2. Promote an idea or theory that hasn't previously been discussed, is credible and can be discussed further.
3. be a place to talk about a new chapter. One spoiler thread and one chapter thread maximum for each new chapter.
4. Be a nifty little thread like a what if, lines not heard in Gantz, etc as long as the previous what if/linesnotheardingantz etc threads have been forgotten for more than a few months (or by the majority of the current regulars).

I hope that will clear some things up.

Sexy Flaming Popo:-) Jokes (and free post) aside, that's really a good set of rules. Maybe you should ask Tet whether he can edit the rules thread or something (or Hadou the Gantz FAQ) to include that:-)
The off-topic thread is also another place to start if you aren't sure whether something has been discussed before/is worth discussing. Some random dude wanting to start a lesbian thread comes to mind :-)

sort of related to the topic, has any gantz character appeared on other oku's works in cameos ? because i remember seeing an image of gantzers on a manga but i cant remember where

^Meteru no Kimochi, I believe on the last or second to last chapter there are a couple of frames with gantz, hen and zero one characters.

Dude, I had one quick question to ask. I don't exactly spend all of my time on the computer and didn't feel like pouring over the FAQ thread to look for my one specific question that, if this thread hadn't gone so off topic, would have been answered now. Is it really that hard?

there is a search feature ya know, and if you get no hits readily, just make a new post, either on latest manga/off-topic/or FAQ (but post on the FAQ only IF you think it's worth it)... cali/me will always answer a post on the FAQ thread, if a quick question was all you had... That said, Tae is, as far as i know, the only character that makes a Cameo (well,considering how nondescript Tae is...). The chibi alien arc was midway (? not so sure of exactly what stage of it) done when the anime was completed, and Oku probably hadn't even made the sketches for all the other Gantz characters.
