errr... what's the point of this thread again? (I am, of course, not flaming and merely requesting information, as any reasonable person would after reading this interesting, but altogether obscure and uninformative first post)

edit: UMMM, after long and careful consideration, I have come to the conclusion that your question is whether or not the osaka arc will be the only arc of phase 2 to which I reply... I don't know...

Unless the manga is cancelled, this mission by itself should not be the end of gantz, but it might very well be the last mission we encounter, since the catastrophe can mean that normal life will be as hard as missions now.
