Nah, took it as good advise. I remember previously seeing posts mentioning a Gantz manual but I never actually thought that it was something "official" so I didn't actually bother to check for it. I viewed it the same way I do Wikipedia. I'll be sure to check it out.

Only a part of it was scanlated... I don't think any group is working on it right now.

Exactly. You shouldn't feel bad because of it as that information wasn't translated officially to begin with. A large majority of us had long forgotten the manual. Don't sweat it.
In order to 'acknowledge' the 'irony' I would have to learn two new words today.

    ...

...And I'm not going to do that.

How has nobody said anything about this yet? Maybe the reason Izumi didn't recognize Nishi is because he had his memory wiped? And don't say that he got all of his memories back because otherwise he wouldn't have taken it easy in the beginning of the dino mission to try and focus on getting his strength back.

Either that, or he just thought Nishi was a little prick and didn't want him talking to him.

^ Maybe you should pay a bit more attention to the point people were trying to make and associate it with specific parts of the manga rather than general obviousness.
By the time Nishi existed in the room again, and recognized Izumi, Izumi had gotten some of his memories back. When they met on the train, Izumi himself mentions he recovered part of his memories but still couldn't remember Nishi. Tousen's statement applies to both cases.
Of course maybe Izumi could've remembered and just pretended he didn't, like you said, but there isn't much purpose in that. If he wanted to blow Nishi off, he could've ignored him from the beginning.

Well to me it seemed clear that Izumi remembered Nishi . Oku did not include Nishi in Izumi flashbacks because he wanted it to be a surprise. When Nishi talked to Izumi after he got revived, Izumi never said that he did not remember him. It look more like Izumi did not want to talk him at the moment.
Later on the train, the brief conservation between Nishi and Izumi had. It had the atmosphere of old friends meeting each other. If Izumi did not have any memory of Nishi , I would have thought that he would simply refuse to talk with him or he would ask something about Nishi himself to help him remember. But since he did not do either you can conclude that Izumi remembers him.

^ In the beginning of chapter 230, Izumi states he doesn't remember Nishi.
Whether that's a true statement or Izumi just didn't want to give Nishi the impression they had any sort of friendship, we don't know. One of the translations actually puts Izumi's line like this "No matter how hard I try, I can't remember a thing about you", another says just "I don't remember you at all". It could also allude to a cold attitude from Izumi because he does remember Nishi, if by that time Nishi already used his camper methods.

I think it's more likely Nishi was insignificant then as he is now.He most likely did nothing memorable. People just find the need to like Nishi for some strange reason. I bet if Nishi dropped down on the floor in the fetal position Izumi woulda remembered him then

Cali you are right about when Izumi said that he did not remember Nishi. It seems most likely a lie. It just strange that Izumi would want to discuss the team with a stranger. My guess that Izumi is just not interested about remembering more about his past and wants to focus on his future.

Who else would there be to talk to? Krono hates him. If you talk to anyone outside of Gantz your head blows up (It's like Fight Club). And it seems that they were probably just heading in the same direction anyway and Nishi initiated the conversation because he remembered Izumi.
