Question Some translations refer to the X-rifle as the X-shotgun. What does the original say?

In the original Japanese, do they call it the X-rifle, or the X-shotgun?

In the manga and anime I see it called the X-rifle. But this guy who just edited the wikipedia insist in the Gantz manual its called an X-shotgun.

It has a scope and a long range, so its clearly a rifle, not a shotgun.

Has anyone seen a version that was translated officially, or understand Japanese enough to explain what is being said? The fansubs apparently disagree with each other on this.

And I'm actually curious, not just trying to win an argument with a guy on the wikipedia.

You know I'm pretty sure I've told you about the FAQ section before. Not every little question needs to be made into a thread. Look at the 53 pages of threads where probably 20 pages worth (minimum) are useless threads like these.
