^Ah, okay I see what your saying. But also remember that Kurono regained his skills and bravery. Katou admired those qualities. His compassion and knowlege of right and wrong was not emulated by Kurono but already possessed. Kurono had gained back a sense of himself without Katou's help and that led to his badassness in the early Buddha mission. After Katou was gone however, Kurono emulated Katou's style of leadership, being to protect the weakest first, etc., etc. Kurono got those leadership qualities from Katou and fused them with his great fighting skills.
is that so... kurono leadership is different with katou tough. katou want everyone to be alive but he barely didn't kill aliens before the osaka mission, he naively don't want to kill the aliens because he pity them (even tough they kill people), so i'd say kurono is better leader (sorry katou's fan , this is just what i think tough, don't bash me ^^ )
Just a quick explanation for those who dont know - I called the sniper from the Buddha statue mission Golgo 13 (aka Duke Togo) as that character is based off the latter, like Kurono's "girlfriend" in that mission was based on Angelina Jolie as Lara Croft.
yeah, her hair give a tomb raider image, but what is golgo13 so togo have to be called like that...
Neither Kurono or Katou are natural born leaders.
Katou became a leader out of necessity. His desire to make sure that everyone lived was so strong that it overpowered his natural tendency to be a follower. If you remember, in the beginning of the series he was always looking to Kurono for guidance and support. On the 2nd mission he tried to get everyone to wear the suits did not have the support or respect of any of the new people in the room. Even with that he took it He became a leader because no one else wanted to do it.
As for Kurono. He was never a real leader. He just did what he wanted to do and at one point was very selfish and only cared about himself. He became a leader in a sense because other people looked an what he could do and wanted to be like him (like Katou did). So you can say that he led by example, but that was never his intention. Due in part to the influence of Katou he began to care about other people. As a result he stopped being as selfish and began to really lead the team.
They have both changed significantly from the 1st mission up until now.
i think the better leader is still kurono. kurono lead everybody to stay safe AND win the game. as for katou he ONLY lead everybody to stay safe
Katou's leadership can't really be gauged right now. He gave some suggestions during the Tanaka arc and an order to two in the Buddha alien arc, but I don't think he's displayed any real leadership since he's never really had the chance.
Kurono's a good leader but he also lucked out in a serious way in the Dino mission. He got an insanely strong fighter, two psychics who don't have any qualms about killing and a couple of average people who actually listened to him and put on the suits.
I think it'll take some more time for Katou to become a good leader. And I have to disagree that he's ONLY about keeping everybody safe. He wants points to bring Kurono back he just puts saving humans over killing aliens.
