The option is to revive anyone in Gantz memory. When Tai was revived, she was not revived as a Gantz member. But the thing is that she was never a member of Gantz in the 1st place. She would have been in Gantz memory as an alien/outsider.
So the way I see it, the question isn't whether or not Kurono can be revived, but which Kurono will be revived. Did his existence in Gantz memory stop at the time that he opted out or did Gantz continue to keep track of him? Will he be brought back as Tokyos fearless leader or the guy who was being chased by vamps? Or maybe will Gantz let him keep ALL of the memories?
I'm actually surprised that Gantz didn't bring back Izumi since he was dead. Maybe it only chooses people who died just prior to the start of a mission.
Maybe he will get revived soon, but won't be joining with the Gantz team.
If he gets revived, why wouldn't he immediately be part of the team? Even if it was like a Tae case. We have seen that Gantzers are able to recruit whoever they like by simply holding onto somebody as they are transferred.

Since Kurono died twice I wonder which memories he would get. The ones from his last moments alive before the vampire attack or the memories of being teleported out of Gantz.
I only wrote that Gantz might charge 500 for Kurono as a joke but I'm starting to like the theory that good players are more expensive to revive. Maybe that's what Oka's going to do with his points.
if kurono is revived as an outsider why would they recruit him back using the hug technique.
Maybe the hug teleport just works on vamps or maybe not that would explain why people dying together end up together in gantz sometimes, but i remember a scene of kishimoto being transported to kuronos arms. Nvm im gonna re-read -edit- (it was chapter 28 but it never shows the actual transportation)>

Maybe in the hopes that he will regain his old memories. It worked for Izumi right?

Is it just me or is it funny to anyone else that they wasted 100 points to free Kurono when they could have used it to get a weapon or bring back a player?
Yeah, but the real question is: Why would they bring Kurono back when their entire goal from the start (and still is) to get out of the room, especially when they were the ones that encouraged him to leave in the first place? Unless it was the panda, I can't see anyone trying the hug technique on him.
True, but with the threat of the vamps, it doesn't make sense to try to get out of the room right now. After all, the vamps took out the two best Gantzers on their team. If you use the option to free yourself, then you become a sitting duck because you have no memory. The best thing to do is to try to survive as long as you possibly can and find a way to deal with the vampire situation. Having the old Kurono back would give them a much better chance of survival. Besides...they all like him. If they just revived him and left it alone, he would just be killed by the vamps again soon.
Not another word. It still pisses me off that Reika didn't hold onto kuruno when she was transfering. Honestly she could have if she really wanted to.

I'm not saying the members aren't great gantzers who deserve to be recognized by the populace, just that the vamps don't seem to see it that way. Remember when they first took izumi's picture. They didn't even try to take anyone else's. They made sure to just take his. Also if the vamps ever try to ambush them at the end of a mission I'm pretty sure the gantzers could handle them. Most of the vamps are cannon fodder as Izumi and Kuruno have proven to us.
