now they are all dead. so the only way to get them back to the serie is... bringing the girl whi loves the psikid and get her to revive him.... no. to complicated and not so many super enemies left to finish.

I wonder about why has Gantz ended counting. Could it that some tipe of open war started, and gantz is going to entrust to this entire grup to finish the war? so why not? gantz has revived kurono twice. why looking for other dead people. this group is ok...

Gantz stopped counting so they can finish the boss without time limit, is what I think. Guessing Gantz realizes that this boss needs to be finished before they go any further.

And then when they get back to gantz: surprise! They didnt get any points.

Yeah, from an author's perspective, there's no point in revealing Kei's brother is a vampire, and then going "haha! That didn't have anything to do with the story at all!" I mean, he dedicated an entire chapter to Akira.

I'd say Akira is going to have to make another appearance before the manga ends. And it won't be some minor scene either. I think the author is going to want to torture Kei with the knowledge that his brother is a vampire for a little bit.

So, first Kei has to learn that his brother is a vampire. Then he's going to have to do a bunch of angst and stuff. ("can I kill my own brother?" blah blah) And then they're going to have to face each other in a battle to the death. :P

But then again, this is Gantz we're talking about. Anything could happen. However, I think it's a sure thing that Akira is going to have to make a reappearance. Otherwise chapter 163 was a complete waste of time.

Now on the flipside, Oku has revealed some really powerful aliens here. Where do you go from the Oni aliens? What could possibly be cooler and more powerful than these guys? And if you do make the next group of aliens even more powerful, doesn't that mean the Gantzers are screwed? They're having enough trouble with the Oni aliens, nevermind the "uber-powerful GODMODE aliens" or something. Are they just going to go back to fighting green onion aliens?

Perhaps after this fight, the vampire fight (and Kei and Akira's showdown) will be the only thing left.

One more thing: if the vampire aliens are way stronger than the Oni aliens, Team Gantz is doomed. Of course, maybe this is where the "extremely powerful weapon" will come into play.

I disagree. I think there are at most thirty more chapters.

Consider:

a) The next fight has already been lined up
b) The "end of the world" scenario mentioned by Nishi's website is probably going to be the end of Gantz
c) The Vampires seem to know the truth-or at least part of the truth-about Gantz
d) Once the true purpose of Gantz is known, there isn't much more to be done with the story
e) Kurono is about to start reviving people
f) It would get annoying if there were many more missions after the Vampires

My prediction is thus:

Kurono is going to kill Oni next chapter. They will then be taken back to Gantz, who will let them in on some information (what I'm not certain). Kurono will revive someone, probably Tae. Someone will get the Ultimate Weapon. Someone will probably revive Cherry, or Sakata, if he really is dead. Izumi will stop being an evil bastard after seeing how helpless he really is and join Kurono. We'll get a chapter or two of interlude, then the Vampire mission. Kurono will have to fight his brother. Naturally, he'll kill Akira. The experience will make him very pissed, and he'll kill the Vampire boss almost instantly. After all, Akira is obviously not the Vampire boss, but having an Akira fight followed by a long boss fight would be annoying. They will be taken back to Gantz, more people will be revived (possibly Katou...remember, there are a shitload of vampires, and I suspect there will be MASSIVE amounts of points being given out). Then Gantz will tell them about the end of the world scenario, whatever the hell it is, and the final arc will play out. 30 chapters max.

IMO assuming that the "end of the world" isn't played out anytime soon, I'd really like to see the entire ~Kei~ arc come to an end with either everyone revived and well and released, either that or everyone dies =P. Then we could finally get some new brand new blood going. I'm not talking about people learning from Kei, I'm talking bout people starting from scratch and some sink, and some swim. I could tolerate about 100-150 chapters of that[maybe as a whole new "sequel series" if Oku [or is Oka...] wanted to take some time off. Then towards the end of it, some of the main players could be brought back into action either through gantz [if they lived] or revived by new gantzers after maybe some sort of a menu showing all of the /people who got 100 [{not spoilers}kei, kaze, izumi, etc.]\ or whatever. Then and only then would i be satisfied with an ending =D

Maybe Gantz will fight them himself. He could be like one of those droids from SW where they roll around on the floor and unfold itself, revealing puny little obsolete laser blasters. But Gantz will have all the arsenals that the Gantzers use and also transform into a 20 ft high mecha, which can be activated by pressing him in the ear drum.

And resume the pwn.
