    Default Timer Theories

Ok, in like 200-something manga, the timer was turned off after they were able to be seen correct, that means a few things.

1)gantz will kill all of them
    2)they will be freed

But again both options are bad for gantz anyways, as mentoned in other theories, hes collecting a army, or for sure trying to kill as many aliens as possible, or there wouldnt be a reason to revive izumi. So if theres anyone with other theroies to what might result in the timer being turned off, please post!

Also, since the world can see the aliens also now, that probably means they will eventually retaliate, but as it was seen they pretty much useless (nukes maybe)?

I dont think that theyll be freed but something will change, but the points will still be counted... it was obvious since the start that only beacuse of gantz technology humans could fight equally with the aliens, and there was rumors from nishi (in the anime at least he tells this to the first group) that there was a secret governamental organization for killing aliens who were living secretly between humans, so nukes are kinda out of question since they could harm more the humans than the aliens....

well, follow me on this one...

-Since the beggining of the story they were pretty much invisible to people right? later they found out that they could change that by changing the frequency of their suits, but the default config was them to be invisible to normal people, and same with the aliens.....
-then tae took pictures and was targeted by gantz
-so then the aliens are no longer invisible (oni) and the gantzers also appear before the public...

    THEN THE TIMER IS GONE!

from the ongoing, i can guess that the war between gantzers and aliens will reach an all-world (or all-japan at least) sittuation, and thats the time to come clean about the "end of the world" and catchy series phrase (the light and stuff).... that is of course, if the author wants to put a little sense (of conclusion also) to this series - it IS chaotic but... - and tell what the hell is that gantz is trying to do by playing peoples lives like he does (like he has some greater mission)

well thats my theory anyway.... anybody feels the same?

PS: that said, there will definetely be a few more volumes before the end, since there is still the vampires and kei's brother to kill

Yeah, but Nishi was full of shit. In the manga it was a gameshow. He did say some things that were true, but that stuff about government organizations and gameshows was just to motivate everyone to go after the alien.

I think my favourite theory is the one that Gantz turned off the timer because its decided that the Oni boss is an important/difficult target, and its team has to either take the Oni boss out or fail miserably (They all die). I mean, the boss did announce that if the Gantz team couldn't stop him he was going to go around slaughtering as many people as he could. If Gantz is concerned with keeping humanity alive, it's going to make sure that the Oni boss goes down.

It could also have something to do with the fact that at least one of them has reached 100 points. Perhaps once someone reaches 100 points Gantz removes the time limit so that the person doesn't run the risk of running out of time and losing all his/her points.

I think gantz itself is connected to the bad things i donnow how this can be but i found it not normal that this guy is inside gantz all the time he is dreaming are his dreams this kindly monsters which mutated to beasts?

    I don't know!

The Timer disappears and? i only think gantz had thought about it and the time isn't long enough and that the people see them and cheer for them is a motivation in every situation so i think the timer will be abled sooner or later because if they are all about dieng(he will see that) the times goes on and everyone will get a zero score and/or will die but i think in th elast second or hero comes out the half blood vampire(i think he is a vampire ^^)
After many Quesiotns:\"No he is just cleaning their!\"

true... he could have easily made that one up, but the technology gantz have had no explanation so far, and it has to come from somewhere dont you think?, so all im saying is that i cant discard the possibility.....also, you remember the politician saying that there was someone lastnamed nishi at the government? may be coincidence, but it also, may be not....

you could be very much right flood, thought i think gantz wouldnt really mind if someone got the 100 points but couldnt survive the hunt.... well, gantz really dont care, but even when he seem to decide who goes hunting and how many points each one gets, hes not eaxctly a god is he? despite his sense of humor .... why anybody never tried to shoot him? i know i would try

let me explain something.... when i first started reading the manga i thought that gantz was a very random, chaotic and impredictable one, but as the story advanced, i realised to my astonishment that the series WAS going somewhere, or at least thats what i could see.... if the history were only based on the people dying, being "faxed" to gantz and then hunting aliens, the history could have ended pretty much about 3 volumes ago.... but no, gantz wanted an army, wanted tae killed for taking pictures, and when the pictures were gone, she already knew too much, they said something about some catastrophe ending the world..... they let too many loose strings to finish the history without making any sense to them (and if its true that the author killed kojima only to fuck with kurono and get some more drama, the series will drop a few good positions in my ranking)
i believe they've gone too far to go back....(on the counterpart, it is veeery japonese-like to never explain things, but to let them subjectively layed on to you..... besides, if im right, the style of the series would change around 147,83% , and THAT is very unlikely.....)

of course, no one knows what'll happen, i could be enourmously wrong, but i cant think diferent....

I seriously think Gantz was just looking forward to seeing everyone get slaughtered by the Oni boss, and didn't want the timer to kill them before the Oni did.
