Dude, are you even paying attention? ADV is the largest anime distributor in the USA. They are releasing THE BILINGUAL GANTZ DVDS ACROSS 13 DVDS. Is that clear enough?Originally Posted by zhabin
We're way off topic, this should be split off.

For those complaining about the anime, if you don't like the price don't buy it, though to me it seems a reasonable price for the unedited uncut episodes of Gantz that supposedly havn't been shown in Japan. (I don't know the real contrast as I didn't download it as I found out about this series fairly late)
and guyverfanboy is right someone should start another topic on this.
Well to stay on topic.
The game looks awsome. I hope the game sticks close to the origional story, though I don't know how hard that would be up to the dino aliens. Also another worry would be how long the game would be as five missions from the series doesn't seem that long, unless they pull some of the scenes in between each mission.
I kinda wonder how the combat system works. I mean, what setup are they going to use, because Kei doesn't have a very definite or defined way of fighting.

:edit:....ack.....when did it double post?? psh....
i think the game would be better if it let you create a customer character instead of just using the people from the story. Also it would have been cool if they released it on the PSP since in kind of looks like that PDA thing they use.
It would just be cool if they decide to bring this game over here to the states. Just going off topic I'm still kind of pissed that the new Berserk game isn't going to be coming here to the US -_- Now going back to the Gantz game it would be cool to make your own character to play the game![]()

I'd much prefer just the same setting without the same characters from the manga.
So it's just gantz and you do mission for him, but the character is one you make, as Zeth mentioned, and the story goes a different route. (Not horribly so, everything should still match up, but I don't want to play through the exact same events I read in the manga or watched in the anime. At least not as the same freaking character...)

gantz could work well as a mmorpg to when you "log on" you're assigned to a room, so you can roam around the real world for a bit then when the room/party gets full have it teleport you to the room, although the gameplay would have to be more free instead of standing still and shooting with mouse clicks and lock ons,
That doesn't have to be an mmo. That could just be a multiplayer game like HL. You log onto a server, people wait till it's about full, then they go and run a mission online.Originally Posted by sejiyaku
MMO is far more massive than this and Gantz isn't the kind of thing that needs 3,000 players on one server.
