Thread: The Gantz RP: Minutes 1-45

OOC: I'm sorry it took me so long to get this one up; I was busy for pretty much the entire day. So, this was my first real chance to create the thread without being interrupted.

The teleportation process begins; Jin is the first to go. “Ugh, what’s happening to me?! Where am I?” As the inexperienced Gantzer is teleported, many of the members wish him luck. What he’ll need luck for is something he hasn’t quite come to comprehend; he along with a few other participants must hunt aliens. The reason for these hunts is unknown. What is known is if you don’t give it your all, you will die.

Jin has now been completely teleported; all that lays waiting for him now is an alien with a bad temper. “Ah, I know this place… It’s the Ginza district.” Jin moved forward taking strides. “Wow, this place is amazing… I wonder if I could get some gifts for my girlfriend while I’m here.” As Jin started to look around, he noticed something; the next Gantzer was on his or her way.

OOC: This is where you guys are going to appear. The building is called the Mitsukoshi department store.

Dino was suddenly looking at a district he had been to once before while shopping with his wife. He didn't remember the area too well, but he did remember some tall buildings. He looked around and headed towards the tallest he could find.

Tomoe squeezed the rifle in her hands once the teleportation started. It took her a moment to get her bearings and duck into an alley where she hid behind a dumpster to wait for either allies or aliens.
She stared at her radar and it finally dawned on her to initiate her invisibility.

She stuck her head out from behind the dumpster to watch the new guy Jin wander in a daze. She debated whether to do the noble thing and tell him to hide or the smart thing and use him as a human early warning sytem.

Once she remembered inviting everyone in the room for a drink and thinking about how important these complete strangers were to her Tomoe opted for the less intelligent option.

It was either a joke or an attempt to shock Jin to the reality of their situation, but she didn't know which when she invisibly snuck up behind him and yelled.
"RUN AND HIDE, DAMMIT!"

Dino whistled as he rode the elevator. He remembered the radar that had come with the suit and looked at it. Small dots were littered about the screen. One of them was relatively close. 'First to die' he thought, and checked the rifle once more. Based upon the strength of the scope and the size of the weapon, he measured it's range to be about a kilometer. He would cover the others and take out a few of the straggling aliens, killing 2 birds with one stone. First thing is first, he had to get to the roof.

Naomi at first didn't realise that it started. She shivered suddenly for matters unknown to her, and few moments later her view went strange. The upper half of her sight was from several large buildings, while the lower half was from the room where she had been. She stood up hastily, with a scream of surprise and fear, as she didn't know what was going on, and she was sure that someone saw her 'disappearing', but nobody yelled, so it had to be the right thing to happen. Hopefully.

After some seconds, she was entirely outstairs. She knew the area. She had been here for a couple of times. Naomi looked around. At first glance, there didn't seem to be anybody near to her. She remembered, what Tomoe told her: "Just use the radar to stay away from the aliens and find a group of people from here. ... Then once you have a group, fight. Fight until either you or your enemy is dead." She took the radar and looked at it. There were red spots. She could see them. Some of them seemed to be near to her. But not too close, probably ten to twenty metres distant. And she couldn't see anything in the shape of a monster, so they had to be in the lanes or on the roofs. But they approached. What did she tell me about this button? It can make me... invisible to everybody. I hope, my device isn't the only one with a malfunction. She pushed the button, and her view went somehow a bit blurry, as if she would tremble with extreme speed. She couldn't tell if it worked, for she still saw her body, but it was obvious that something actually did change. But she didn't want to find out if she really was invisible to the aliens, so she looked at the radar and walked towards the two 'non red' spots closest to her. Naomi heard somebody yell "RUN AND HIDE, DAMNIT!" and recognised the voice as Tomoe's. After a moment of hesitation and simple shock, she took her sword and ran in the direction it had come from.

Koi started teleporting into the site of the hunt. When he got there he didn't see anyone per se, as jin just wasn't in view, and no one else was there. "Shit looks like I really need to start using that radar." Koi uttered to himself. Hope I'm not the ONLY one who wont be invisible.....or on my own. Aw well. Koi then pulles out both guns from out of his holsters, getting ready just in case something pops out before everyone else gets there.

Once she hid again Tomoe looked down at the caps jutting from her suit and wondered if her invisibility would hinder the suits protection and turned it off. She realized she might be over-thinking, but decided to play things at least moderately safe.

She checked her radar for a nearby cluster and ran towards it.

Moving his head around to try to find the source of the yell, Jin becomes disoriented. “Who’s there?! And why should I hide? It’s not as if any of this is real! This is just some dream I’m having! As such, I’m sure as hell not going to fall for any of your traps!”

After covering his ears with his hands, Jin starts to run towards the Mitsukoshi. I’ll just hide somewhere in that building until this dream ends. “Ugh, what the?!” He had just tripped over a manhole, which has its cover slightly raised. “What the fuck?! Wasn’t that manhole cover in place when I started running?”

???: “It was indeed in place; I just wanted to mess with you a little before I killed you though.” Looking directly at Jin, the figure licks what looks to be blood off his lips.

Jin: “Ugh, what’s this feeling?”

???: “What you’re experiencing right now is paralysis; every muscle in your body has been disabled. So, how does it feel? Hahaha! Ah, it’s so nice to kill again.” The figure turns from the body and walks into a mist.

Dino looked up from the scope and frowned. He had been watching as everybody was teleporting to the beginning area so they weren't sneak attacked. A few of them had gone off, but the boy who had been teleported first seemed oddly disoriented. He had tripped and suddenly gone stock still, and a shadowy figure seemed to converse with him. It had moved out of sight before he could get a good look at it...but Dino was still uneasy. 'Nobody should be able to see us...' Dino thought. He had noted that as he walked through the streets and nobody seemed to have noticed him, even though he was wearing a rather odd outfit. 'It must have been one of the aliens...but if it was, why didn't it kill him? This makes no sense, they said the aliens were blood thirsty. Had they been wrong? Were they lying?' Dino checked the boy again. He was still laying on the ground, unmoving. Perhaps he HAD been killed. He wished he had a way to communicate with the other people so they could be wary of the danger...he would have to remember to bring some small portable radios or something with him next time. He put his eye back to the site where people were being teleported. He would have to keep a better look out, or else more of them might get killed.

Eventually, she was there, in front of Mitsukoshi department store. At first, Naomi couldn't see anybody, even though on the radar had been something. She took a second glance, and now she could see someone in a black suit just like the one she wore, lying on the asphalt. He didn't move, and she didn't draw closer. She knew she couldn't help, even if she wanted to. She looked at the radar again. One 'non red' dot moved away from this place, another one had to be near, probably on one of the rooftops. Probably he or she could see her... Naomi deactivated the invisibility and tried to orient herself with the help of the radar, to look in the direction of the one on the roof. That's when she saw a red spot, quite close. She didn't look if it came closer or went farther away, but only tightened her grip around her sword and put the radar aside, as fear started to rise on her. She walked backwards, in the direction, she thought, that would lead away from it, even though she wasn't sure. I have to find somebody. I have to get to somebody. Alone, I'm dead. She made another two slow and careful steps back before she finally turned around and ran as fast as she could, hopefully drawing closer to someone else than the alien.
