Thread: The Gantz RP: Minutes 1-45

Dino finally spotted a strange skeletal structure amidst the people milling about in between him and the department store and locked on to it. He hesitated. The other one near it, according to the scanner, might notify the others if it noticed that its companion had exploded. He put down the weapon. He would have to relocate to the building across the street in order to get a view of the entire square. He would probably be in more danger there, but the element of surprise might make it worth it. He started back down the stairs and into the elevator and took it down to the first floor. He started towards the other building, planning to converse with some of the more experienced members to form a battle plan along the way.

Koi was just going to greet Tomoe when she suddenly took off. He was about to tell her to wait but she was too fast. Damn. Then he saw one of the other people from the room leave a building closeby. "You, yeah you. Over here." He figured going on an offense early would be wise, yet somehow foolish. "Saigo I'm heading this way," he said indicating the small cluster of seven dots on Saigo's radar, "Might as well take these two single ones out as well. Whoever comes is fine by me, but you better be able to give good cover fire, especially for a group THAT damn big." With that Koi starts off in the direction to scope out what he sees, hoping to pull a sneak attack on both groups.

'Damn kid is dissing me...' Dino thought, but he let it go. He figured he didn't want one of the more experienced people dying, or else he might have a much slimmer chance of surviving.
"I'll cover you, kid!" he yelled at the boy as he ran off. He entered the building adjacent to the one he was in and entered a room on the 5th floor, facing the square. He once again locked onto the alien that was wandering around in front of his spot. He looked for the other, and found him a bit further ahead. He shot the first, locked onto the second, shot again, and ducked below the window.

Naomi was shocked, as she pushed a button on her radar and let the overview switch from the small area around her to an overview over the whole area. Red dots, and that many that she couldn't think about any way they would be able to get rid of all of them. Then Tomoe took off. Either it was desperation, or the will to help, or the mere fear of staying behind; whatever it was, Naomi followed her. I'm weaker than everybody else. I don't know how to get past all this, and it's likely that I won't. But she said it before: "Safety in numbers." Of course she wasn't seen. Maybe Tomoe didn't even notice her. Then she got to see the aliens. It was another shock to see them with her own eyes, in flesh and blood instead as small blips on a radar. She didn't move an inch, while Tomoe shot and made herself invisible.


OOC: It's maybe dumb to ask it, and probably I only forgot, but if the devices make ourselves change to another frequency, are all of them on the same frequency, so visible to each other?

Upon noticing the two aliens she fired a volley from her rifle then quickly hit the button on her radar to engage her invisibility and waited for the gun's delayed reaction to take some sort of effect.

Although she had successfully eliminated the targets, an alarm had been activated in doing so. Because of the alarm, the other aliens are now aware of the Gantzers presence.
Almost as if an example of the strength of the approaching aliens, a storm begins; with a drop to the skin, it becomes obvious… it’s blood. It isn’t human blood though; it’s the blood of the fallen aliens from the last mission.

Saigo: After noticing drops of blood, Saigo looks to the sky. “What the fuck is happening? Is this blood really falling from the clouds above?” As if God himself heard the question, blood starts to pour from the sky.

“Ugh, I guess I shouldn’t have asked.”

As the blood of the fallen continues to pour, seven figures around 10 ft in height emerge from the shadows of an alley near Tomoe.

Alien: We’ve come to kill.

OOC: I'm pretty sure the aliens you're targeting are the ones Tomoe just killed.

OOC: Yes, you'll be able to see everyone and everything that is on the same frequency.

As she exited the building where she had dispatched the two aliens Tomoe noticed the rain of blood. She raised her head up to the sky and felt her previous fear wash away.
She disengaged her invisibility once again as the red rain would make her obvious anyway. She noticed seven figures almost twice her height emerging from the shadows.

While Tomoe wanted to say something cocky such as: "Me too", she only smiled at them.
Once again I broke the cardinal rule of horror movies: Never go off alone.

She dropped her rifle and opted for the smaller x-gun and held her sword in her left hand unextended. She swung her left arm in a huge arc and extended her sword to herd the aliens into the path of the fire of her gun.
She hoped to kill or wound at least a few of the seven.

Koi hiding just beyond the view of both groups in the alley that was closest to him, noticed the group of seven walk off. SHIT! Fearing the worst if they somehow scattered pops out facing the group of two and fires about 5 rapid shots from each of his guns then takes off following the group of seven, trying to get to them as fast as he can, not really giving a damn about the bloody rain. "HEY YOU BASTARDS!" He screams when he reaches the ally where they now gathered, pointing both guns. However he wasn't sure if it was adrenaline, or fear but instead of pulling the second trigger, he pulls the top trigger, realizing his mistake for that split second he then pulles the second, while still holding the top trigger.
(ooc: if that last part was godmodding since that group of two could probably do something before Koi can run off tell me and I'll edit.)

Naomi sat down for several seconds. By chance, she hided from Tomoe, even though she would have been able to see her, now she was on the same frequency. It took her some time to go through the shock. She couldn't even tell why she was shocked. She knew that it would be aliens, she knew that they were going to attack and fight them, but now that she actually reached the point of being confronted with it, it became somehow hard to believe. But I saw it. And it's not like I've got a choice. Either I go out there and fight, or I'll die. I can't hide. I'm dead if I stay alone. So she got up and went out. But the blood rain made her close to vomiting, as soon as she realised what it was and that it was all over her, so she backed inside the building again. But then she heard a voice from a not far away alley, saying something like: "We’ve come to kill." She looked in this direction and saw seven tall figures, and Tomoe somewhere close to them, but the darkness and the rain made it hard to say in which distance she stood. Naomi noticed her dropping her rifle and taking her sword as well as one of her small guns into action. For a short moment, she was uncertain about what she was going to do, as her fear set her mind on fire. Before she had decided, instinct gained control over her and let her disable the almost useless invisibility, reach for the x-shaped pistol, put the sword away into the holster, run straight into the rain, so that she would be able to stand next to Tomoe, and pulled both triggers, aiming at them as good as she could manage to do, being a more than unexperienced shooter. She didn't at all notice if there was anybody else next to them. Nor did she remember afterwards, that she repeated the words Tomoe told her, loud enough for her to hear it: "Safety in numbers."

OOC: No, she targeted the top ones at the building, i targeted the two that were in the square kind of close to the buildings directly to the left of the starting point.

I believe those two are the ones I was after, unfortunately. He can get the kill, I'm just trying to clear this up :[

Brandon hear some loud noises coming from the other side of the street. They sounded like shouting or something like that.
"(Where are the others?)"
He then felt that something dangeoures would happen...
