Thread: Crazy plot twist. Is Kei actually Oka?

Crazy plot twist. Please read everything before posting. Critical opinions welcomed.

Granted this one is a stretch, a huge one, with a lot of holes in the theory.

Here goes. What if Oka Hachirou is Kei Kurono.

After the second mission Kei Kurono did not remeber killing the large boss bird.

Granted we all know that this was because Gantz messes up from time to time and forgets to fill in the blanks of the memories of the copies.

But what if, and this is a big "IF".

What if Gantz didn't scan Kurono back into the room. What if Gantz accidentally just created a new copy of Kurono and left the old copy lying on the top of that roof.

Granted Gantz goes through the old sector and blows up the heads but maybe something happened to make Gantz miss the old copy(HUGE hole in my theory)

Therefore. The "new copy" probably returned to his apartment and continued to live his life as if nothing had changed. The "old copy" probably showed up sometime later and saw that Gantz had screwed up and created the new copy of himself. He probably deduced that this was his chance to escape and left Tokyo. Unbeknownst to himself he settled down in Osaka assuming a new name Oka Hachirou. Sometime during this whole incident, Gantz in Osaka, read the implant still inside the "old copies" head and transported him into the room in Osaka. Effectively making him a member of the Osaka team.

One hole in this theory could be that the Oka Hachirou has cleared 100 points 7 times. But, we don't know how many games have gone by since Kei Kurono was freed from the game. Nor do we know how many games have gone by in Osaka compared to Tokyo.

So, there you have it. Any comments welcomed.

The hole in the theory is Oka Hachirou. Do you think Kei Kurono could've forgotten his name? Kei also never uses stealth. I think Kei might have not realized he killed the boss.

Just because Oka Hachirou owns, doesn't mean he has to be Kurono. If anything, he's Nishi's copy.

Oh BDRZS07. By saying "assuming a new name" I mean't he "changed" his name. He didn't forget his original name.

I like it. It makes some sense since Kei (the woman) done the same thing: she left her copy to take over her life and went her own way, so why wouldn't Kurono do it? Maybe what she done was a portent to what was to come? Even if it's a long shot, I still like it. Just think of the shock the current Tokyo team would have. In any case, it would make an interesting fanfic.

This was pretty random, it could conceivable be the case for a couple of people, but I definitely wouldn't mind it turns out this way.

Oka being Kei would be mind-blowing but not likely. Oka's probably been in Gantz longer than anyone else we've seen in order to gather 700 points even with a 100 point alien thrown in.

What I think is interesting is that Oka has had seven opportunities to go free and has declined each time.

And i do find it likely that Kei, or Oka, would stay in Gantz for over 700 points. He has one or two times that he likes it in Gantz, because here his live has meaning.
Also, if Oka is some Kei-copy, it would make sense if he was inhuman, since this guy never met either Tae or that tomb-raider chick.

If he's inhuman, the perfect choice would be Gantz or the guys inside the black ball.
