From all the threads that I was browsing thru, it looks like Gantz is a must read. The only thing that deters me is someone mentioned there were some rape scenes. I'm fine with violence and gore, but rape stuff bothers me. So I'm wondering if there's a lot of that stuff, or if it's few enough for me to easily skip/ignore.
And are there any underlining morals to the whole thing? I get the impression it's just grim and depressing...but somehow addictive.

theres a LOT of sex but no rape.....
there are some rape victims but no rape scenes so you dont need to worried there
Actually Gantz have 1 rape scene in chapter 56 it took place in Kei Kurono's fantasys. You see he live with the girl who love another boy. So he imagine how he rape her while jerking off. But the scene were not too heavy or something and Kei never done anyting alike in reality.

hmmmm...couldn't make sense of the last two posts...but oh well! I'm already up to date. I still can't believe I was crazy enough to read all the chapters in 2 days (so what if I have too much time on my hands? I already finished school and am taking a break from work).
Anyway, I'm glad Gantz is not too heavy on the rape scenes. It implies more than it show. The worst scene though, would have to be Sakurai in the bathroom. I can't believe he waited until after (spoilers)they've made him go down on the teacher before killing them all
