Gantz use to be a jack ass, cracking jokes, suicide missions, one man missions, 2 mission on 1 night and kill close friend mission, even kill off katou for not beaming 1 second sooner, inaba suck but when Kurono suck he toll kurono to get pointz or he would kill him!! lol but lately his kinda soft giving them extra time, not killing them for exposer and his even taking the enemy(vampz) under his wing

heh, seriously though I don't think gantz is getting softer. I mean just a little while ago he forced the gantz players to kill Tae (then again no one will listen to my theory that Gantz only did this cause he's gay for Kurono, but whatever)
Not only that but you said it yourself... he TRANSPORTED the ENEMY with them, don't you think that's a sure fire sign that gantz loves to fuck with his poor players/victims?
A last observation would be that he forced his players to be in the same region as the Osaka players... Surely gantz didn't sit there and say, "gee I hope they become bestest friends!"
Granted lets see it from the point of view that maybe gantz IS getting somewhat softer, I've got a good explanation for this
The aliens/vampires/whatever are starting to come up in greater numbers, they aren't playing it safe anymore and they're willing to kill regular civilians for the fuck of it, if this is the case gantz is trying to even the odds a bit.
But I'm sticking to my side of the story, if gantz was getting softer he'd acctually start EXPLAINING shit to his newcomers as well as giving them a shitload of better weapons.
My theory is that up until now Gantz has been anal raping them NICELY, using that special KY jelly we know and love, now he's gonna start charging into their assholes unannounced.

Theres less blatant gore since the remaining gantzers are the top of the crop (they're still alive, aren't they?). I agree that the new aliens aren't as scary or overwhelming as the older aliens, but that just attests to the Gantzer's skills more than the Aliens.

No, I don’t think Gantz has gotten softer. In fact, I think that he’s getting tougher. His jokes were signs that he was playful. Now for the last few missions he has been abrupt and forceful with the mission briefings. If you think about it, he’s a bigger jackass now than he ever has been in the past. In essence, it’s still the same old Gantz we came to love minus the playful attitude. By the way, I don’t get why you listed some of the things you did as evidence that he was once tougher. How do you expect a one-man mission to happen if there is always more than one man? My guess is that Gantz did that to see if Kurono had what it took to continue on. Remember, Kurono was on the brink of death for more than a quarter of the Buddha mission. Therefore, I think that Gantz might have thought of him as unworthy to live. In addition, Kurono is the only character in the manga to ever lose his points. Therefore, my thought about the fifteen-point rule is that Gantz does that to everyone after a failed mission. However, now that the timer is gone we may never know.

I agree with you, but I'd just like to add that the extended/infinite timer is PROOF that gantz is getting MUCH meaner. Before, if you oblivous to the game or just really crappy at killing aliens, you still had a chance to SURVIVE, now that there's no timer but you still have a forcefield trapping you there, you pretty much have two options: Pray that someone is good at the game or die.

I don't think that Gantz is being soft so much as being practical. An hour isn't very long when it comes to the really tough ones like the oni aliens and the current batch.
I think the loss of his smart-ass sense of humor might be due to the rising alien population. The black ball might be a little worried.

The loss of the hour time limit means that Inaba can't just stand around and wait out the clock now.

You're joking right? less scarier than the older aliens??? wtf?? Did you forget the ones that fought Kaze and Katou? (we even saw their twinkies for Fak sake!!!) even the one who tried to ate Takeshi's head was creepy. Besides, I thinks we haven't seen enough from this mission to be sure about what is going to happen next.

My bet is that those three bosses are going to seriouly damage both teams, and maybe they'll kill the whole Osaka team just to make us readers think that Tokyo team doesn't stand a chance in hell to beat them. Hey! it could happen, but I definitely I do not believe that Gantz is getting softer

It would be Ironic if Inaba was the one that killed a boss and started whipping ass. Then again Takeshi started kicking ass so maybe Inaba will too, I mean it is Gantz unusual things have happened before.

Lol, Inaba killing a bunch of normal aliens is much more believable. I'm pretty sure Kaze helped train Takeshi a bit to help improve his chances of survival.
