There's no such thing as him not feeling like giving points. That's the whole concept of the "game." I think even if he wanted to, he couldn't do it. This whole analysis thing... Oku might not follow the analysis himself and just give out how much ever points he wants. maddox20... Obviously, Rick... ER... Tet has read the manga but rather than point out that you're right or wrong there might be a reason why that's your opinion or some kinda proof you might have.

Oka should be the one who gets the most since he's possibly the best Gantzer. The points thing, I think those aliens may be stronger than the oni aliens. Then again, I have a theory that maybe they aren't stronger than the oni aliens and Gantz makes them worth 100 so the players can get the EPW for harder missions, but if that's the case he'd always do that. It's all speculation...

Yes, that is true. But, with the technology shown, it wouldn't be hard for a computer to detect actions made by a 'player' and give them a nick name based on that.
Look at the choice of song for instance, a morning exercise tune. Funny, like the nicknames, also a slight bit of irony, but if a machine was programmed to use it than it would.

The message to Izumi seemed more self serving than anything else he has done. Hence why I used that example as opposed to what you have suggested.

I was a normal member way before I became a moderator. The job has made me bitter, I'm a rather large guy as it is, so I use the insults make my E penis bigger. :P

Your mentioning of the added 15 point rule is a very good point though. And is evidence of a personality. But does not confirm that Gantz can remove, or hold back points on a whim, which is the main point that I am getting at. Obviously, he can change rules. But it is not clear on the extent that he can do this too.
Surely, you must see where I was initially coming from. Snide remarks about reading the Manga from somebody who was clearly wrong about the reason Kurono's points were deducted.

Personally, I feel that the points for each alien are set, initially I don't think it was entirely intended for it to be this way. But, don't forget about Oku's restructuring of the series too. Gantz has evolved, and Oku has changed the way he is treating this project. We won't find answers for everything because of plot holes created by his over-active imagination.

Gantz point system has never seemed all that consistent to me since the dino mission. Kaze, Sakurai and Sakata all killed dinos without suits or weapons and scored fairly low.

I more inclined to believe that Oku just doesn't put much thought into point distribution for the secondary characters rather than Gantz being whimsical.

That’s quite a common misconception. In an interview with a television station, he was very clear that the points are scored the same weather you wear a suit or not. Speaking of that, maybe I should ask Tet to edit that into the FAQ. I'm sure that information would be of great help to those of you who are confused about it. Thanks for reminding me of that interview.

This is definitely something that should be added. Do you have a source to this interview? It's not really good If I can't back this up when somebody questions me about its legitimacy.

And the fact that you say that we won't know all the answers but at the same time acting like you know everything about the manga is kind of ironic isnt it?

So this arc should be a little longer then... the aliens that are worth 100 points should put up quite a fight. We have about six people who scored 100 plus 3 bosses so they must be really powerful.

I think we have another forbidden gundam here. No one here claims to know anything really, just debating and tryin to figure out or make theories. You're probably right on whatever the hell point you're tryin to make....

The implications that I know everything about the Gantz Manga, is evident in most peoples post, you know, you post when you know something, or at least think you do.
And although It may seem like It, I don't post claims that I am the Gantz Guru nor do I think it.

Though, I can safely bet that I know more about Gantz than you do. My sad pathetic life is for-filled knowing this, and it makes me very happy.

To our credit, we're right about what we are saying. If you deserve to be called an idiot, we won't hold back. That’s how forums work. If you don't like the way you are being treated, stop posting on this section. We've given you the facts, you just want to continue arguing based on your own opinion. If someone provides facts for their side of the argument, you should provide some for your side. By the way, I was mainly talking about our argument.
