Is kurono that great?

Personally my favorite character is Cherry. I think Kurono is great but not how you guys rave about him. I just want to know how every one else feels.

Why do you think so? If it's a yeah.

His performance against the Oni boss was quite impressive.

I like cherry because I like the way he doesnt abuse his power (except one time), he's still a good person. I'm not really into Kurono just for the simple fact that almost EVERYBODY is.

yeah, whatever.

kurono has the suit, but he doesn't abuse of it (just for self defense). also he shows care for everybody, has leadership, he kick-ass, and overall cherry kiss his ass all the time.

lol we love kurono cause he was a bastard, but grew up into a trustful person... his will to live is almost unmatched and several other reasons

Yeah, Kurono's development not only as a Gantzer, but as a human gives him the depth that makes him the favorites of many. My favorites are never the main characters. I can also see why Katou isn't as popular. Kurono appeals to the asshole inside all of us when we first meet him, and his transformation is so gradual that it makes us continue to care about him.

And not only that, most people dislike Kurono in some way or form. Its quite evident on this forum, and the undertone of most discussions.

I never said that I din't like Kurono. I didn't know Cherry kissed his ass either. Maybe people in RL do to.

But his development from the time he entered to now has been drastic. Not only did he keep himself alive, after a while he was able to keep others and teach them how to survive in Gantz. He was able to bring out the best in a lot of people and brought out the best in himself when the pressure was on. Plus he survived multiple missions while NOT wearing a suit.
