Keeping posts civil and refraining from poor language/obscenities (which include racial slurs for me) only seem natural for an international community such as ours.

@Popo: Pon po pon... The Jury iz here . On "Vicky". The mouth seems to overshadow most of the face (especially in the color version), and there is a "square set" to the jaw that strikes me as "male". On "Destruction". Until I read the comment I didn't know what it was. Despite not making much sense, it was still a picture I looked at quite a few times... was that deliberate?

Yeah, she had red lips and her chin was kinda manly in a cute way. I'm going to more destruction pieces. Maybe a satire on old style video arcade fighters and Godzilla monsters and gundams.

If you are planning on going to India (no experience whatsoever with china, first or second hand , as long as you are in one of the main cities, there should be a netcafe in every block. Other than that, trying to get your wireless and lan port working, if you have them inbuilt in your laptop, is good idea. Of course, even if you have these working, you'll still need to find a working Internet connection. Most medium sized hotels should have some sort of wireless network with internet access available, so Wireless is usually your best bet. Some of them are password locked and/or require a special software for accessing the net, so you probably want to ask the specifics at the reception first (assuming you are staying in a hotel).

Now, on speed issues. As far as I know, there is no such thing as an "international" ISP that allows you to use the internet cross-country. Secondly, if you are able to find net access, it will usually be viz wireless, which is currently capped at 10mbps (that's the "theoretical" maximum. Expect to fall very short of it), and not torrent friendly. Bottom line is that unless you are going to be staying at someone's place, and that someone has private, personal access to the net, you'll probably be saddled with a download rate of 10-50kps... faster, short-term speed packages are usually ridiculously overpriced and very hard to find.

This is what I feared (I'm used to 54Mbps), and was also why I was inquiring about the Remote Desktop Accessing before so that I could use my home desktop's connection (but that seems to be a bust as well).
