I'm still waiting for a revamp of the FFtactics story. I loved the whole atmosphere and characters of that game. They need to move towards that direction rather than the tacticsadvance direction.

Use reverse and lure (or decoy, depending on versions) on a character, kick back, and laugh your ass off... Reverse turns healing into damage, and damage into healing... and lure will make the boss target only the lured character... oh yes, another trick, if the boss' super move is butt-raping you - when you feel it coming (it usually follows a fixed number of turns/pattern otherwise, you will need to be on waste and be quick when the message reads "boss is readying whatever"), summon an esper. Worst case, the character who summoned the esper and the esper die, and the other two get to revive him. Heal mp of your summoner, rinse repeat when Boss uses ultimate again. Reflect will make disease bounce of you as well, but you won't be able to heal either... Umm, now is the time to be using megalixirs, I guess... no point saving on anything since this is the endgame. Also, if you have the potion improving license, it really helps a lot when paired with reflect... forgot how much a High-Pot heals with the level 3 upgrade, but it was a lot... Hope that helps... About Tactics, I absolutely agree... FFTA is like FFT for kids still slurping lolipops... The story would have gained a hell lot more had it been modeled on the Zodiac Brave story... Arggg... Zodiac (Zodiarc)... Darkja... 9999 on every1 plus dark... soz, bad memory... ZOMG, sif have a hard time with FF...

Ummm... play Ogre Tactics Advance (on GBA) if you really liked FFT. It has the same setting, type of story, and features a "branching out/multiple ending" scenario. It uses a job class system, which, while not as extensive as FFT, has its own interests. It's also very difficult... monsters become over-leveled very fast, and you really need to plan things out. Its also graphically very close to FFT... well actually, the best anime style tactics game out there would be the Fire Emblem series. The Path of Radiance is out on WII, i think, otherwise the last three installments, two of which (Sacred Stones being the last) were translated into English. I'd choose FE over OTA given a choice, but they are both worth playing.

Probably doesnt help that you get to put where youre level up stats are in. Oddly enough I found having the main character have all his starting points put into strength, one of the other characters put into def, and the last one put in speed helps out a lot early on, making leveling a bit easier in that game.(one hard to hit, another is hard to kill, and the last will RAPE THEM) Oh and MGB I finally got the cod4 game and a headset, online name is Vakmyr.(tho this is for the ps3)

Not killing the enemy in the first turn isn't sustainable either, because they do heaps of damage and healing items are hard to come by/expensive... As for bosses... starting mid-game, an average of two-three per dungeon... oh yes, I mean BOSS, not miniboss. Minibosses and sub-bosses come in tens... The game also features 8 optional Overbosses, two of which aren't optional at all... one of them is DANTE, from DMC... yes and you can recruit him, assuming you somehow survive the two boss battles where you face off against him and his 10% instant death Stinger... We don't call it an RPG "suitable for those seeking the thrill of death" for nothing...

Oh yeah I already know about nocturn. That enemies dealing damage more than your health has been peasent since the first one. Unless you somehow manage to stay 10-20 levels ahead of everyone you're going to get raped, a lot, early on in the first games. Hence why I said oddly having the main character with that stat, and the two other ones with it as well helps a lot. Also something to point out is that at one point in the first game you lose your other partners in crime, and have only the main character and whatever little demons he has scrounged up by himself.
