That mission where he died (and constantly gets flamed for) the Gantz sword would've really helped him.

Hmm...nishi with sword could be really nice,stealth techique and then silent kill with the sword...

It goes both ways. Fearlessness and lack of empathy are big pros, impulsivity and irresponsibility are big cons, and aggressiveness and disregard for safety of self or others swing both ways themselves.

All Nishi said was that it had been a long time since anyone besides himself had made it back.

His use of the word "long" could mean anything from XX weeks to XX months.

I hope that we get some information this phase as to how long he was alone, until then everything’s just speculation.

When I called him a psycho, I was just takin a dig at him. I'm not so sure that he is. I think because he was still a kid, he didn't really understand the value of life. The problem with him is there's a difference between killing cause you have to and killing cause you enjoy it. It's a lil bit of both with him. He's nothing compared to Izumi. Most of the times he killed, he had to do it. I think him killing Kosuke was justifiable. Kosuke had what was comin to him. He was an idiot. He just got beaten to death then the first thing he did was try to rape a girl. Then he had to try to be a badass and kill Nishi. He deserved it. Then again, it's not known just how many teammates or regular people Nishi has killed. I don't know about the cat though... maybe Nishi thought it was an alien. ^.^

He's too young to be diagnosed with Antisocial Personality Disorder (he'd get, IIRC, Oppositional-Defiant Disorder), but I strongly suspect Oku had the DSM-IV page open when he wrote the character. Nishi is textbook psychopath, right down the list—I've gone over it elsewhere here, though I could do it again if desired.

well if you think about it it makes sense that Nishi would be the only one to return everytime, in the onion mission he let the alien kill the others so it would let its guard down and be easier for him to kill.

^His tactics probably never changed. He might've stole kills or watched other Gantzers die in the past. You think he used them (The ones in Izumi's flashbacks) to get his kills? I still wonder if they died or were free themselves... I really hope Oku will reveal more about Nishi's and Izumi's past-it would be a good way to clear things up a bit.

You seem to know a lot about psycology and medicine. Are you a doctor or psycologist?

No, but I was briefly a psychology major. My intended area of research is artificial intelligence, though, so cognitive neuroscience is still a big area of focus for me.
