Attila, I was SO ABOUT to call him the Gantz version of Sasuke...

But then I realized that even though Sasuke is overpowered, he does have at least a tiny bit of dimension to his character, looking at his tragic history. Izumi on the other hand is totally 2D.

Izumi is just Sasuke with part of Itachi's history. Itachi killed his clan, Izumi killed a bunch of random people. Sasuke thinks his new techs/sword, Orochimaru training and Sharingan make him uber, and Izumi thinks making it through once already, using that damn sword, and knowing how gantz operates makes him cool. Sasuke is getting owned by Diedara, and Izumi got murked by Los Vampiros de Anfitrión. And both I would be glad to watch be killed over and over by Naruto and Kurono,

Not that I really liked his character either, but it's not exactly like he's weak, even compared to HS.

whudya mean Adonai? I was talking about that he got killed, I don't think he is weak in the same vein that I don't think his counterpart is weak either, but calling him the most 2 dimensional character that has made an appearance for more than one mission is quite accurate.

Sorry, I'm not familiar with all aspects of English vernacular, but murked does seem to be synonymous with "owned", which I just don't think is what happened.

Murked is more like murdered. It's a local thing. So i doubt unless your visiting the Kansas City area's 21 and up crowd you'll hear it and even then not often.

Meh...I didn't forget about that, but that little action doesn't suddenly give his character dimension or sympathy...

I actually heard that word for the first time the other night, around 35th and Prospect.

MadameSole: Izumi's actions there at the end symbolize the completion of his character arc...he returned to the way he was before he went mad with bloodlust.

But in between all that, he's still just a cliched 2D super villain like overpowered character. It's like the hamburger has great bread but its filled with a shit patty.

Ironically, that's very near the person who says he created the word. I wish I could take credit for it, but even I got it 3rd hand from a guy who lived near the guy who claims to have been using it since about the time I was in middle school.
