Yeah... that asshole probably fought. It's not known if he used stealth all the time. Now that I think of it, I think he used to fight but after he was all alone and didn't have strong allies, he started using that strategy. I hope we get to know about his past and btw how the hell was he cryin if he had no eyes? ^_^

It's a shame... Havin the current team with Izumi and Kurono would've been great. And it's a shame that kato didn't get to ask Izumi for tips on how to do his hair.

I doubt that Izumi's leadership was that much different from Katou's, Kurono's, and Reika's. Izumi, prior to his memory wipe, seems to have been like Kurono/Katou...he probably led in a similar manner. He wasn't always the crazy psycho who massacred the people at Shinjuku.

And I wouldn't think Nishi learned that style. It's not the sort of thing you would want to use unless you had to. He probably created it for himself when he realized he was alone, after the rest of Izumi's team was gone.

If Kato's brother (Ayumu is his name?) does actually become a Gantzer It'd be cool. Yes, that would be funny if he were to be better than Kato but then again, it's not exactly hard to be better than Katou. Having his brother in Gantz would make fighting in a mission harder but he wouldn't have to live with that secret though. Katou's character is less interesting just for the simple fact that his character is cliched like Kaze, Reika, and possibly Kurono. (The whole virgin turned hero thing.)

^Katou is a cliche. There is so much depth to his character. He actually has strong morals with is opposed to most other characters that Gantz brought in. His whole life has basically been shit, and yet he still doesn't let that turn him into an asshole, and he doesn't take the easy way out. In that way, he is a very strong character, and putting that type of character into Gantz allows a lot of dramatic character change. His character also allows for an interesting contrast to other characters. Everyone of Oku's characters may resemble some other types of characters, but he always makes them unique, focus on there bad and good qualities, and make them human. It's far from clique... especially Kurono and Katou.

But I would definetely like to see Akira take over in the far future (Maybe if Katou finally becomes free, but only if). He's got interesting features, and the fact that he's a vampire with human feelings still intact makes him pretty badass.

Bleh, Gantz has become mostly uninteresting to me since Kurono's demise. I really thought the story had come to a point where important things where gonna happen, but instead the series went it's cliched route of offing a character you didn't think would die, and basically is recycling the same old shit from the previous missions. Add to that the fact that Oku is putting out paltry 18 page chapters every 2 or 3 weeks or however long it takes to put out such an enormous amount of content, and Gantz is officially on the backburner for me. But to address the main theme of the thread, the real mystery is clearly Nishi. He obviously knows something about what exactly is going on with Gantz.

Tears do not come out of your eyes themselves, they come from your tear ducts, which are separate from the eyes.

Why does everyone look down on Nishi like they do? Did anyone even think about how he died? I mean come of the whole crying thing. Almost every other character has cryed, And last time I checked they wernt dieing a slow painful death knowing damn well no one would want to revive them.

I know that kurono was a great Gantzer and leader and he made it better but this manga is still great. The only problem is the long waiting and the alien fetishes. Having Kurono die wasn't so bad, really. Did we honestly expect Kurono to stay in Gantz the entire time? Just the way that it happened was stupid. And thanks... I didn't know about the eyes thing.

You're right... Nishi was just a kid. I guess he cried cause he knew nobody would wanna revive him. I don't get why he gets flamed for cryin almost every character did at some point but the topic... Nishi and Katou were gone for months. It's weird how things seem like they're back to normal for them.

I agree with the people who are saying that of COURSE he would cry. I'm sure having one's head implode kinda... Hurts. A lot. XD

Also, he died so close to his goal, which really bites.

(Man, the poor kid met a tragic end if there ever was one.)

To me Izumi is one of the LEAST interesting. He's a 2-dimensional "I'M SUPER EVIL AND INHUMAN" cliched character.

i can't believe nobody has called him the Gantz version of Sasuke yet. Though one can only hope that his Naruto counter suffers the same end.
