GantZ MMORPG

I've quite depressed about the lack of Gantz anything here in the USA. I think something need to be done to spark the interest in all things Gantz. I have recently had the idea that a Gantz MMORPG should be made. I've already made the outline for the game and I'm waiting for a response from Konami regarding the rights for a Gantz video game. I should be hearing from them soon. What do you(my fellow gantz fanz) think of that?

I think that is a wonderful idea, though I think your chances of making that happen are close to none(unless you have connections). I would like to see your outline though.

Well I don't think your going to get much of a response from Konami, but Gantz is perfect material for an online action adventure RPG. A normal rpg type game wouldn't be fitting for Gantz' high octane style, so action adventure would be the best way to go.

I can think of 101 things that could make it great. Let us know what happens. And post your outline.

In all honesty, the possibility to make Gantz an online action adventure RPG is there. The technology just need a bit more improving.

For starters, everything need to be blown up. From the inside of course. You can't have a Gantz anything without the guns doing what they do. Making everything destroyable.

The enemies will be intelligent and fierce. You will most likely not survive the first mission... Nor the second, nor the third...

Being that the game summons people, you too will be summoned by message of your choice(phone, email, etc.) and will be give a few minute to get online to play.(this is subject to change but the idea is cool right?)

The basic premise is A) Someone/something dies(all ages, races, genders, even species), B) Said Something/someone is "faxed" to a room(in the case of the manga it is an apartment in Tokyo) back to normal and without any wounds, scars, illnesses, etc., C) the room/apt. is empty of all furniture except for one large black sphere and anyone/thing else that died recently, D) the ball plays a song(in manga, old exercise song)ball shows a target/s it wants killed, then the ball opens, E) inside the sphere is a man, guns hanging from the open parts on the sides, and suit cases on the open part on the rear, F) a timer on the screen of the sphere begins, G) the players are "faxed" again to the outside world with whatever they are carrying and the hunt begins.

To make the game even more intriguing, the "players" can not leave the sqaure perimeter they are given or their heads will explode. The "players" are allowed to harm each other. Killing their targets gives them points to be used "if" they can "survive" the mission. The weapons have no visible ammunition, the weapons do deal a great amount of damage, this invisible ammo blows everything and anything up from the inside. The suits have a cloaking ability, and a speed/strength enhancer(this comes in handy for the senior citizens and children in the "game").

Everyone knows this... Basic gantz knowledge... Like I said though, players will be summoned at a certain time, you get on the game and suit up(or not for more points).

One more thing, I plan to have everyone die in a unique way. Or you can do the job yourself and find out what hell is really like...

I also want to stress the fact of no rule book with the game. There's already a rule book, it's called the manga.

nyaaa, very good idea.

there ain't much parameters, should be easy for programming, only problem is when it leaves the manga-story (like new characters/ monsters maybe developed by users will pop up).

i already thought about a gantz live-rpg in berlin, would be odd funny seeing gantzers and monsters cosplaying in reality, killing each other violantly in front of the public ...

I thought that too, but in my city, then I searched for people who enjoyed the show, then I get disapointed T.T
The game should be something between Lineage 2 and Gunz...It´ll be great

Hmmm i have no idea if these online petition things work i dont hear it being discussed at all but i was a huge huge fan of gantz before i found out it had a manga so i'd definately want the anime to continue but i dont care if to sign a petition if its a total waste of time....
