All I see here is a bunch of people protecting the hypothesis. You can't just say OMFG THEIR FUXXORED UP!!!! every time someone brings up a counterpoint.

The big problem is that the theory is far too vague to work. What constitutes an "Emotional corner" anyway? Any reasonable definition I can come up with leads to the conclusion that there have in fact been people in Gantz that are not in an "Emotional corner", as for instance the teacher guy from the first misson and the granny & kid from the second (and no, this really can't be taken as an example of spoiling a kid. How the hell did anyone come up with that anyway?).

d0h, of course they are not just randomly picked. It is a lot like Pulp Fiction theory. The Path Of the righteous Man... Vincent(Travolta) does not se the second oportunity at hand as a chance to change his ways to the path of the righteous man, so he gets killed(like gantzers, that don't take the game seriously or are just too weak to change their ways), Jules(Samuel L. Jackson) sees their maraculous survival as an act of God(basically Gantz) and quits being a gangster, so he survives. So far the only strong enough to change his ways was Kei an Izumi(but he changed in a wrong way, so here he goes again

you can came up with any story for any character but i thin that even if the author introduces a lil girl who is happy and has a family you will bring out an explanation like: she was too happy and shee needed to change her life to see how hard it's life"..... NAH!

They are JUST PEOPLE! RANDOML PICKED, the friggin panda and dog are the proof. Coz EVRY FUC*** PERSON IN THIS WORLD NEEDS TO CHANGE THEYRE LIFES! name who doesn't... just one.

Oh god, not everyone needs to change their ways. And some need to change them more than another. Still could be that this randomization is something else. We'll just have to wait and see what Oku says.
