The early aliens could also change frequency. The bird alien at the beginning was seen by the shop guy, so for all we know all the aliens are capable of changing frequencies.

You sure? As I remember, what the people at the shop saw included:

Vanishing candy

Money left on register

Door opening

But did not include the alien itself.

I know this is very lazy of me but could someone refresh my memory of what happened after the chibi alien was taken care of? That is, how did the public responded to the event? I can't remember which chapter it's in and I thought other people would have a better memory than me.

the police and goverment cover it up. everyone in the school that was it outside of Kurono, Tei and Izumi died. There where rumours but nothing solid.
Tae mentions seeing the school shrink or something. So the public never found out anything, really.

hmm...makes us all worder why they wanna cover it up...the gov must have known about the existance of gantz or something for some time now...after all they just changed frequecies rite? its kinda easy to detect them if the gov realise they r on diff frequencies...

Yeah, all they have to do is have something that can let them detect the different frequencies. And just because the goverment is covering it up, that dosent mean they know about gantz, they probably just don't want the masses to freak out suspecting an alien will come into their work place, perhaps looking like someone they know, and kill a shit load of them for no apparent reason.
I doubt its the first alien the goverment has come across, its hard to believe that Kurono is the first hunter to not finish off all their targets in the alloted time.

hmm...but the public already knows about the massive sudden deaths in the dino mission...and plus they already saw the oni boss and the gantzers...i wonder how come the media also didnt show the gantzers identity or something??i mean they did film the whole thing...

and plus...kurono might not be the first one..Earlier generation gantzers might have been all wiped out in a single mission ...what happens to the aliens then?they roam free rite?

The government and police covering up these incidents...which means there should be people besides the ganzters that know about the existence of aliens. Yet we don't hear anything from them. Not wanting to alert the public is a good explaination but I thinking of something else.

What if everyone is connected to gantz, similar to the gantzers are right now? If so, gantz can erase people's memories and does not need to be concerned of the alien existence being noticed by the public.
