Unexplained memory losses...

Im not sure.. is it just me or are there alot of unexplained memory losses in gantz eg. Kei forgetting how he defeated the big bird thing and Country Side General not remembering Kei when he first got into the gantz room (he got his ass kicked by Kei /w his gantz suit like the day b4) ...
maybe theres something to this?

Kei forgot about the bird?

Also, didn't Countryside remember him? I thought he did.

he remembers the bird, but he doesnt remember what happened
and i dont think the country general guy remembered Kei kicking
his ass

Kurono was hurt pretty bad while fighting the bird, he might have just been a little shellshocked.

guess thats possible but kei said that he was fine after his fall

this is the dialogue, right when kei comes back to gantz room:

Kei: No, What happened to it? The bird! It, uh the huge bird thing!
Katou: What you don't remember? Why not?
Kei:?

what the hell...

basicly remember first mission when katou got him arm ripped by onion dad, gantz basicly makes a copy of you b4 you are injured so if you survive you will restart in the room b4 you recieved any injuries, same with the bird mission kei got his arm hurt in the birds talon, so gantz did the same to him. as for kaze he does reconise katou but since izumi knocks him out with a simple combo he obviously egnores the defeat from earlier, also on the last page of 134 there are two captions one says 'that guys so weak' and its right above kaze's head so its possible he said that

is the copy thing your idea or what actually does happen?

Check this topic out epstylo, especially the first post. The guy who started it had the same idea that tetnubis just explained and he has some good examples to back it up.
