mm these suits look pretty fetish! :P
Most cosplayers I have seen make the gun out of wood and polystyrene. You could probably get a lamp head for the light bit that is a bullet hole on a normal gun.
Pack some heat!
Thinking about all this i figured i would ask someone form the tech department from my uni to see what they would recommend. Take some plastic and melt it with a heater, and stick the pieces together with a chemical special designed for plastic. He recommended that and to take a normal plastic gun and just build the extras on it. Thought job though.
I found something to use after much deliberation. I found that poker chips were roughly the right size, and I happened to find some that were smooth, level, non reflective and the exact size demanded. I'm going to spray paint them gray and I'll probably just put a yellow circle sticker on the outside even though the yellow portion is supposed to be within the ring, but I can deal.
You know what i payed attention to most pictures and i found that u have not only different sises in those power caps but different models. Roughly, if i am not blind i found 3 to 4 diffrent sises and 3 diffrent models, at least to me it seems that way.
Although it makes our job harder from an anime point of view it would be normal to have diffrent type of caps because of diffrent muscles parts they are applied to.
Has any one thought of how to make the boots? I was looking at some pictures the other day and it looks complicated. Anny ideas on how to make those?
Wow I didn't realize how hard cosplaying is... Well make sure u send pics
how come no one wants to go as one of the aliens (that would kick ass)
I spray painted a a couple dozen foam rings that are shot from those cheap toy guns. I found a bunch that were of a good size, and then I placed a neon yellow backing behind them in the inner circle. I'm going to use fabric glue on them Saturday to complete the suit, but I've still got to alter my boots. My friend made me a gantz gun out of clay, and it looks pretty tight. Expect pictures in a week or two.
Right now, I'm expecting to only cosplay the suit underneath a school uniform like how Kei runs around sometimes outside of GantZ, but I could potentially make the whole suit by April for my con.
Here's something else I found:
You would place this on the outside of the full body lycra, then modify a lycra/spandex shirt for the upper portion and attach your vital points around the suit appropriately.
