Personal Theory: GANTZ gives a different amount of points depending on how strong they are or how important. Tae was very important because she could've let GANTZ's secret out so had a huge bounty on her head. In actuallality Onion Dad was really weak, but because they were new to this and on Kei had the suit it seemed harder than it was. The 8th Grader could've handled it easily from the begining, right? Thus he was only 3 points. The Bird Boss was a flying killing-machine, thusly worth lots of points. On top of that the building that collapsed killed tons of the little chics and Robo-Suit thingies.

hmmm....i always thought it was a simple 5 point killing, and a three point capture. nothing more, nothing less; cept for Tae who posed a considerable threat to gantz so [as stated before] got a "badonkadonk" bounty

kuruno got 38 points for the bird mission

he killed six robot guys at 5 points a piece (as proved by homo getting 10 and katou getting 5) so for the six robots he gets 30 and for the last bad guy he gets 8 simple

Um... didn't Kurono capture one of those bird-guys as well?

yeah, he does. The first one they come across.
I don't think it makes a difference in your score if you captuer them or not based on that fact. otherewise it would sugest that the boss is worht the same as the normal aliens.
and since nichi got 3 points from the first hunt, and kurono is constantly geting points that are divisable by 5, that the boss would end up being 3 points.
