    Default Gantz Arsenal Info.

Hey, I checked out the GANTZ.ru site and saw some info about the GANTZ arsenal that maybe a little useful when answering random questions I guess.
Hope its of some use to all of you. Its a rough translation, if you can do better pm me the translation, please and thank you.
If you decide to point out errors or give a better translation, PLEASE, do not be rude with your submission, im human just like you and i make errors, remember most of this is translated by websites, so little errors here and there that i might have over looked will be there. Again, please and thank you.

    X-Gun
    3d flash pic of gun

    Type: Energy weapon

Basic weapon of gantzers. It’s light and compact. The mechanism of action is unknown, the molecules of the irradiated object begin to rapidly decompose with the isolation of a large quantity of energy, after 10-15 seconds the reaction reaches critical mass and the avalanche-type disintegration of material occurs, in this case the object seems as if it explodes from within. This “pistol” can work in several ways, they are activated by the pressure of the cocks:
Upper cock - activator of roentgens or destructive purpose. It produces 9 different waves that converge in to one.
Lower cock - cancellation of the target lock-on.
Two cocks simultaneously - destruction of the seized of targets, in this case the guidance of pistol to the previously seized target is not compulsory. If the target is locked-on and the holder fires a “shot” its will hiss the target perfectly, but up to no more than 500 meters, exceeding of this limit the emission of weapon does not create the critical mass of disintegration and therefore it is ineffective. Despite the fact that this is the lightest weapon from the Gantz Arsenal, direct entry into trunk or head for the man, as a rule, is fatal, the defeat of extremities causes their traumatic amputation. A central failure in the X-gun, the delay of the destructive effect, considerably decreases effectiveness especially in the close battle. Because of the small sizes, the X -Gun it is well suited for the concealed carrying.

    -----------------------------------------------------------

    X -Shotgun

    Type: Energy weapon

Intensive version of the X -Gun, a rifle built on the same principles. Three additional emitters and an optical sight ensure a considerably larger destructive effect and a larger range of about 1(one) kilometer. The possibility of delivery of fire at the great distance partially compensates the effect of delay; however, large overall sizes and weight decrease the effectiveness of rifle in the close battle. Like the X –Gun, this weapon has the binary system of the cocks to, ensuring scanning and target lock-on. X -Shotgun is most powerful weapon in the Gantz arsenal.

    -----------------------------------------------------------
    Y-Gun
    3D image of Y-Gun
    Type: Trapping network

In the essence, it is not weapon; three barrels Y -Gun let out trapping network made from from the high-strength synthetic fiber, which reliably enmeshes and fixes the target in place. The second cock reports the coordinates of the fixed target and starts its seizure and teleportation process. Point of destination of sending and further fate of the seized targets is unknown. Seizure operates independently on size and force (exerted on the trapping network) on of the target, the main thing, at least by several seconds, to ensure their immobility; therefore the Y -Gun is possible to be used for eliminating the target, however it is not the standard effective weapon. The seizure of targets is evaluated by GANTZ as being lower than simple murder. 3 points instead of 5, therefore instead of using the trapping network its best to use other weapons in the Gantz Arsenal.

    -----------------------------------------------------------

    Energy-suit

    Type: Personal armor

The material of suit constructed from a shielding composite, it is smooth, and warm to touch. The thickness of the shielding composite is 3 mm. The functioning of the system is ensured by the circulation of an organic liquid of vivid blue color. Interaction with the muscles, nervous and vascular system is ensured nano-fiber. The connection of threads penetrate the skin, and grow into the large vessels and the nervous beams, in this case some users note light tingling or itch. The basic operating principle of the shielding system consists of the absorption and the redistributions of the energy between the network of energy-capsules on the surface, capsules with vivid yellow gelatinous contents. Face and head protection is generated by the massive complex of capsules on the back of the head. On the surface of the energy-capsules, located on the wrists, is derived reference information about the functioning of the systems of armor. In the case of complete exhaustion or overload of systems the armor is destroyed, in this case capsules bursts, a certain part of the nano-fiber, in this case, remains in the suit but rapidly it is decomposed.
The suit has 3 operating modes:
    • Passive – the suit has begun to operate only for protection from damages. Armor is effective against all, specificly: cold and firearms, and it is also capable of absorbing pulses of the X-gun. A completely charged suit maintains is protected from 5 entries from the X -Gun and 2 of the X -Shotgun. Armor is ineffective against strong inorganic acids and the laser weapons.
    • Active – The suit has begun to generate synthetic muscles of armor, in this case the user can develop inhumane strength. Since the suits works only off its synthetic muscles, the initial level of physical training of user does not play a role in its strength. Active mode of operation rapidly expends the energy of the suit.
    • Stealth – This ensures complete invisibility by changing the frequency of light when it bounces off the user. Invisibility expends the service life of capsules although more rapidly than when it is in the active mode of operation. With the exhaustion of energy the armor automatically disconnects Stealth.

In the passive mode the service life of each capsules gradually decreases, so GANTZ renews each equipment with each sending.

    Vulnerabilities of the suit:

    • in contrast to the composite of the armor, the surface of capsules is sufficiently brittle and direct impact or the entry of a bullet easily renders a capsule inoperable. Destruction of one of the capsules little affects the general fitness of the suit.
    • the central knot of armor is composed of 4 energy-capsules, two behind the ears and two below the chin, their destruction renders the who suit inoperable.
    • Armor is ineffective against organic acids, lasers and plasma weapons.

    *EXTRA NOTABLE INFO*
    1. Kill with X-Gun = 5 points.
    2. Kill with X-Rifle = 4 points.
    3. Teleportation with Y-Gun: 3 points.
    4. Kill with the sword = X points.
    5. Kill physically or without weapon = 5 points.
    6.-Do a mission suit-less = double points.

Be it known that killing the boss gives extra points, and in some cases, gantz doesnt send you after the boss but after another alien.

thats about it ill ad some more if i find any

    +PLUS

just wondering if anyone could give me some info on this pic

this pic seems to show a key ring or the Suzuki alien
kno where we can buy it?

    http://www.gantz.net/list/news7.html

that link seems to show 2 gantz stuff that i have never seen before and info on them?

    1) I tell you yet again, lose the goddamn $'s.

    2) Where are you getting that from? To my knowledge, the scoring system is basically random, as I proved in this forum after the Oni mission.

    Well, you can fix these:
    X-gun
"Despite the fact that this is the lightest weapon from the Gantz Arsenal direct entry into trunk or head for the man, as a rule, they are fatal, the defeat of extremities causes their traumatic amputation. A central failure in the X-gun, the delay of the destructive effect, the considerably decreasing effectiveness especially in the close battle."
    to
"Despite the fact that this is the lightest weapon from the Gantz Arsenal direct shot into trunk or head for the man is fatal, a shot into extremities causes their traumatic amputation. The main deficiency of the pistol is the delay of the destructive effect, which decreases its effectiveness especially in the close battle."

    X-Shogun
"Intensive version of the X -Gun...Three additional emitters and optical sights"
    to
"More powerful (or something like that) version of the X-Gun...Three additional emitters and an optical sight (ONE!) (this mistake could make some misunderstanding)"

    Y-Gun
" three stems Y -Gun let out trapping network made from from the high-strength synthetic fiber, which reliably enmeshes and fixes the target in place...Seizure operates independently on size and force (exerted on the trapping network) on of the target, the main thing, at least by several seconds, to ensure their immobility; therefore the Y -Gun is possible to be used for eliminating the target, however it is not the standard effective weapon."
    to
" three barrels (damn, what's that term for the place where bullets come from in pistols?) of Y-Gun shoot the trapping net made from strong synthetic fiber, which enmeshes and immobilises the target...The size and strenght of the target does not affect the effectiveness of teleportation, therefore it is possible to use Y-Gun for eliminating target which is not affected by other Gantz weapons."
And this is not like in the original: "3 points instead of 5, therefore instead of using the trapping network its best to use other weapons in the Gantz Arsenal." On Gantz.ru it says: "3 points instead of 5, so you can shoot immobilised target" (instead of sending; to get more points)

This's all for now, got work to do, i'll try to finish it later.
    That's the theory anyway.

    1)
    Here your answer without $

    2)
    From wikipedia in spanish: http://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gantz#C...dan_por_mision

Cantidad de puntos que se dan por mision

Para ser exactos, Gantz da los puntos por como el participante mató el alien, si fue con una arma, transportandolo con la Y-Gun o matándolo fisicamente.

    1. Matar con la X-Gun = 5 puntos.
    2. Matar con X-Rifle = 4 puntos.
    3. Teletranportar con Y-Gun: 3 puntos.
    4. Matar con la espada: x puntos
    5. Matar fisicamente o sin arma = 5 puntos.

    and from wikipedia in english:

    The Rules of the Game
If the players manage to survive the mission, they return to the room in perfect health (even if they were nearly dead, missing limbs, etc). Those who are killed during the mission do not return to the room unharmed. GANTZ then tallies individual scores based on kills and sets them free, only to have them return to play another time. Points are awarded both according to the number of kills achieved by the player and by the equipment used by the player. On two occasions, Kei Kurono is forced to fight without his Gantz Suit. On both such occasions, he earned a large number of points, causing some to assert that kills made while suit-less are worth more points. Some also believe that the live capture of an alien is worth the same as a kill, although there it has been implied in both the manga and the anime that the point reward for a capture is worth less.
kills made while suit-less are worth more points
    Someone edit that part T_T
yesterday it said double instead of more.

Who wrote that in wiki? Nishi sent the alien in 1 mission, he got points. What's there to think about being worthless (What's about writing it separatly?)
And besides, i think that Gantz is not THAT badass, to give 5 points for killing 100-arms barehanded >.<
    That's the theory anyway.

Not to say that I put any stock in the formula posted, but did you prove it without reference to the Oni mission? Enough things that were previously invariants started changing during that mission that I can't consider any data from there to be comparable to data from previous missions.

Anyway, while this is neat info, IMO it shouldn't have been written. There's no reason that the mechanisms of operation would be discovered by any character we've seen, and the explanations are sufficiently "out there" that I think "it works but we don't know how" is more compelling than "it works because of pseudoscience A, B, and C". Granted, that's what they did on the X-gun, but they included a lot of stuff they probably shouldn't have while they were doing it.

(Example: the emitters don't swivel. How would the lock-on work if the gun operates by being a radiation source?)
