Why do you like Gantz?

i have read up to chp 82 at this moment, and i was wondering what is is that YOU like about Gantz. i ask this just out of curiousity.

personally, i like the suspense and the down to earth sort of feel it has.

The writer likes to develop awesome characters that you fall in love with!

And then kill them when you least expect it.

I like how it plays out like a game, it's like a manga for the greatest FPS ( or survival horror ) game never made.

What I also love is how they emphasize on ordinary people. The way Oku Hiroya comes up with new characters randomly in the room and how unpredictable their chances for survival really are. The way you couldn't tell on the Buddha mission that Togo was going to own absolutely everything momentarily, the way on the Dino mission Old Man just grabbed a bronto's tail without hesitating and flipped him over, the way on the Onion mission some volatile yakuza gets finished off quickly, not before trying a final attempt to kill Onion Dad after one got his arm torn.

It's just great, this manga does nothing wrong.

what do you mean when you say character development? like how the character personalities are shown in detail?

I can relate to Kurono in almost every way. (except I don't have an awsome suit or a cool gun)

Kurono's loved ones are taken away without hesitation, he's given little gratitude for all he does to others (mainly Kishimoto), he is a great fighter (I practice martial arts alot and sparring is my favorite), is basically nameless at school, and nothing turns out as he expects it.

Oh and I have a lot of trouble with women just like he does (initially.. now hes a pimp!).

I also think that Oku has amazing artistic ability (his drawings are consistent in quality, even in the manga whereas some animes like naruto have become a little sloppier) and the way he creates the story is awsome. He does it very dead-pan style like some writers (Kafka and Garcia-Marquez), none of this build up to the moment crap.

Oh, and the reallllllllly hot girls with big features (fine, ill say big tits and ass) in almost every chapter. What guy doesn't like sex?

yea theres sex but not in every other chapter. just enough to keep us flipping the pages. why do i like it? the huge tits. that girl with the pink hair, the tomb raider gal, and now this adult-movie-industry-caliber hottie. huge tits and alien guts everywhere. wat else can ya ask for?
