So, yeah. Any ideas? The big "1048P" thing has me thinking reissue of the anime in HD, but I don't know. Anyone care to read that?

It's a 5 in 1 thing, they gonna make two of those for the first 10 books. Nothing about the anime though.

PS: Is that a new weapon he's holding?

The "1048P" does seem to imply a reprint in HD to me, hopefully we can get a translator on this.

Whats caught my attention is the title, Gantz: The 1000, possibly implying the number of Gantz balls, or maybe threats around the world, wouldn't surprise me with a title of 'Thousand In Despair'.
Thousand, rather than thousands, no plural, but that could just be down to the Japanese interpretation. Thoughts?

I assumed "The 1000" was talking about Gantzers, not Gantzes, because 1000 Gantzes sounds a little high to me. More people would have noticed if 1000 Gantz balls were sending squads on missions on a semiweekly basis, not to mention that they'd quickly run out of aliens.

I like the new weapon Kurono has. This, if nothing else, proves that he's going to be back soon. It may take a few weeks, but given the promotional material, it's clear that he's far from down for the count, and he's not pulling a Katou and vanishing for 150 chapters.

We haven't seen Izumi, Nishi, or the vampires in their Gantz suits in the images from the new mission, so I suspect that latter two are being hidden. Regarding Izumi...he'll be back, but I don't know when.

Kurono's my question. I know he will return soon, it's just a question of how. It's possible that he'll be summoned by a different Gantz ball from the others and will be forced to fight on his own for a while.

Also, I'm curious about Akira. If he's dead (which he isn't, methinks), he could show up in Gantz, which would be great.

[Edit: Just got it. "The 1000" refers to, well, the page count. If it's a 5 in 1 deal, there will be about 1000 pages in each book.]

Oops^_^;, my bad...... what i meant is that the "GANTZ The 1000" is a 5 in 1 compilation book that will include the first 5 volume of the manga..... there is another G1000 that will contain 6 to 10 volume of the manga that come out on december.

good news , personally i don t care if kei or kato get new haircuts or a pink suit in the 2nd phase , as long as the manga keeps going with Kei maturation (seems like it s kato s turn now) i m good with it , i like action in gantz , but to me that s not the main point , so if i could turn a bit more psychological just like it was at the beginning i think it would be great .

I think Kei reached his peak maturation. It's Katou's turn. He needs to become a badass all the time.

Oh, and that weapon is frickin sweat. Oh Lord can't wait.
