Country General

Whats up with the country general dude? The little kid draws pictures of him and he comes to Japan. Now hes in the gantz world looking to kick ass and chew bubble gum. What do you think his significance is? Is he just a generic badass like the sniper or something more meaningful in this story? Although, seeing how this story has gone so far its hard to determine whether any character besides Kei is meaningful.

Does he draw his energy to fight from the fight itself or protector of the little kid? It seems like he cares about the little kid but at the same time he draws his energy from the want of carnage. Kinda reminds of Gutts in berserk. Cept Gutts is the pentultimate badass and no one besides conan the barbarian can compare.

And is it possible that they might kill Kei too? It seems that Kei has a team now. A team that actually might make it through a few missions.

if general has been in this many missions, then hes important. but hes gona die. or this kids gona die. he fights for fun, its fun. the kid is like his disciple now? idk why he sticks with the kid, hes not a heartless bastard so he cant let him off on his own. its fun to fight when there are certain reqs like protectin the kid.

I've always wondered if Countryside General means something, like if it's another japanese injoke or stereotype. To be honest, I first read about Kaze on a fansite and by the way he looked and with that nickname, I really thought he was some military contestant like Togo. I never imagined he was actually a martial artist until I finally caught up to when he first showed up.

Anyway, he's awesome. He must be on the top of popularity polls next to fucking Mechazawa on Cromartie. He pretends to be a sentai hero to look after that little kid, he uses a human shield to protect Reika and attempt to kill Izumi, he laughs his ass off when trading fists with an alien made of rock, his Shoulder Block is broken, he arrived to Tokyo to beat the shit out of everyone, THE LIST GOES ON!!

He should take over as the main character :lol:

I'm definitely going to be sad when the writer decides to kill him off. I like that whole I'm a normal dude cept I'm a total badass and willing to take on anything because I'm a freaking badassmutherfucker.

I guess thats why I think Gutts/Conan and now country general are the coolest characters ever! Gutts b.c. he's pissed, bitter and looking to whoop some demon-god ass. And theres nothing better than seeing a demon crap themselves when they get walloped by "mere-human."

Conan because well... he bangs demon bitches kills em and sleeps in their houses. And says cool ass shit like, "Crush all your enemies, see them driven before, and hear the lamentations of their women." Although, best tough line ever was, "I have come here to kick ass and chew bubblegum. And I'm all out of bubblegum." (As Roddy Roddy Piper started unloading shotgun rounds into space aliens doing their banking)

And now Kaze gets a tough guy award... For... well he beat a bunch of dinosaurs to death with his bare hands. And tore a stone-demon limb from limb. Respect.

Gantz wanted someone like him. Too bad he doesn't use weapons.

i dont think countryside general is as cool as gatts
gatts kicks ass, gets his ass kicked 3 times in a row, stands back up and keeps on kicking ass
i dont believe he cares for the kid much, it seems he just wants him to shut up
when he first came into the story he was looking for someone stronger to fight, and then he found kurono
although i think he should die, he probably wont
at this rate the battles with the aliens will extend past the gantz missions
they ll probably face the vampire aliens next
inlcuding kurono's brother

Thats bull who has kicked Gutts' ass? The only times were the first fight against Griffith, first time against Zodd and when he fought that entire army of monsters during Griffith's rebirth. Now hes like a bajillion times tougher and more badass. And honestly, him against eleventy million demons and 5 demon gods is not a fair fight. Now with that new spiffy armor it seems that none of the demons below the gods stand a chance against him. Gutts is virtually unstoppable. Plus, he has the "fairy med pack." Which makes him all the more invicible.

How do you think Gutts would fair in Gantz?
