    Angry What's with Tae?

This has been REALLY bothering me. Tae was kidnapped at gunpoint by Izumi, and then watched both he and Kurono die messily before her eyes. However, she doesn't seem freaked out by them both being alive again, and even wonders why Kei doesn't want her hanging out with Izumi. Did she forget that he killed her boyfriend, almost killed her, and then exploded? Does she just not care, and is too dumb/shy to ask why they are both alive? She watched her whole school get murdered by an alien, two of her friends die and come back to life, and a horde of vampires get hacked apart by a extending-sword wielding Izumi, and yet acts like none of it ever happened! WHAT THE FUCK? Please tell me there is an explanation for this I haven't gotten to yet. Is Gantz erasing her memory? Has she been pushed so far over the edge that she's blocking out those experiences? Was she just dropped on her head a lot as a child? What is going on here?

Izumi put her unconscious with some chloroform, and by the time she woke up again, Gantz had already transferred the remains of both of their bodies. She had no idea either of them was there, except for Kurono's suit lying on the ground.

As for the school massacre, it isn't played up enough, but it is mentioned in passing that she's seeing a counsellor/psychiatrist about the whole affair. IIRC there's even a line about the shrink saying she and Kurono should spend some time together trying to work through it.

Ok, I had forgotten the chloroform part, but it's really disappointing how much the author underplays the devastating psychiatric damage that Tae should have endured. It is briefly mentioned that she has post-traumatic shock syndrome, but you would never know it. If she was any normal person, she would be a quivering heap after enduring all of the crap she has, and without the benefit of any sort of context to place it in, like Kurono has.

Point is the story isn't about Tae completely. At that point in the story (if I'm not mistaken and I probably am) the development of Kurouno as a person was the main focus. And as we see after that whole incident when they are going out you see him warm up to her through the pictures. Which on that point illustrates the time gap between that incident and the next mission. Because of no concrete evidence on what time of year it is other than the seasons we honestly have nmo real time to gauge how long the time between each mission is. So in all honesty as much as 6 months could have passed between that one incident and the next mission, which would probably have been enough time for one to at least get over such an event well enough so that they can move on with their lives*points to taes relationship with Kurouno*.

I have to say when I see tae she reminds me of a girl who is younger than 13-14(assusing they are in 9th grade in japan or older). The author couldve used a better looking character, make it seems like he is a pedophile lol. Just my opinion with the stuff that happens in gantz.

    ...

I believe you've completely missed the point of their entire relationship.

Hey, Tae behavior is easy to explain, if you consider that the current Tae must not be the same that saw those events, but most probably a copy of her that was taken some time earlier by Gantz. If you think i am mad, lets just consider Kurono behavior after returning to the room in the Tanaka Aliens mission: he was in running position, and doesn't seemed to remember how the Bird Boss whas defeated. And, after the Budda's mission, he was holding two weapons and crying, but did'nt seemed to remember Lara cosplayer's death. In my opinion, he was restored as in an earlier moment. It's just a guess, but i think it explains a lot.
