Thread: Overrated vampires

Am i the only one annoyed with how easily the vampires were killed. Especially the leaders. when the gantzers are killing by the dozens they just stroll in talking about random things that have absolutely nothing to do with the current situation. Izumi kills loads of vampires even while his suit powers down. He killed 2 vampire leaders like they were just some extras with no real importance. Kurono killed some vamps even without a suit or his full memory. Theres more to being cool than looks. If you cant back it up your just posing. Just like the guy on kuronos team who gantz sais hes just trying be cool. He hasn't accomplished anything. Reika has bigger balls than this guy so does nishi for christ sakes. My point is the vampire were potentially good villians. But cool does not a villian make. overall they're just a disappointment

Agreed. The death of who seemed to be the vampire leaders, or higher ups, was pathetic to say the least.
Oku built them up to be somewhat interesting, giving them dialog, and introducing them to be the badasses of the vampires.

As for Inaba. His survival thus far is down to his cowardice. But the way Oku has kept him alive as a narrator, especially during the Oni mission, leads me to believe he has some sort of future in the development of the story...But alas, i thought the same about the vampires.

yea they were a little easy to beat...the blonde seems to be the only above average one...maybe he is an original but when will gantz start back up? i thought it was oct. something.

Well i know the vamps are weak but the gantzers have the suit and weapons wicth give them a great advantedge.Izumi was obviously the strongest gantzer we have seen so far so it is expected that the vampires would die(except for old blondie)I just dont like how akira died i thought he should have had more depth.

Izumi's the one who went to town with straight-up combat. Kurono actually used his noggin and came up with a pretty good strategy—and in light of the fact that the vampires apparently have a gigantic weakness available to exploit, Kurono's comparative success was to be expected.

The way Izumi tore them up was somewhat saddening, though, I agree.

Yeah the vampires were a let down..they acted so tuff when they were first introduced i was like oh sh/t...then the two of the top guns go and get killed by a guy wearing a malfuctioning suit! and in the first minute of battle at that! and what was with the old guy.

Yeah, I expected alot more from that old vampire because he stuck out among them and who knows how old he really is. I expected him to be like a super experienced vampire that would be one of the strongest among that group but apparently not. I would have loved to see a showdown between the old vampire and the the old man. It would've kicked ass. Think of the dialogue.

Old Vampire: Seems your age is making you weak.

Old Man: "Heh... I'm not THAT old" (does something super badass to rival the old kickass Kurono).

Hmm... I thought it wasn't proven one way or another yet whether Akira was dead? Since the blonde vamp can morph weapons out of his hand, couldn't he morph Akira's head? Anyway, yeah, the vamps turned out to be uber lame. Oku better have some super powerful creature thing or whatever up his sleeve after the buildup he had for the vamps, who turned out to be wimps.

Hmm I guess I seem to be one of the few who isn't dissapointed with the vampires. Oku seemed to make it a point that everyone in the Gantz game could die very easily, so why wouldn't the reverse be true for the aliens(vamps too)? Simply they were badass for a time because of their initial surprise attack on the team. Just too bad for them that Kurouno and Izumi were just grew to a higher level than most of them.

(I may be wrong on this one)Proof of this is when the vampires first attack Izumi and Kurouno during the day. Izumi took on all of them but he still barely lived. So they were/are badass but with Izumi's growth they were overshadowed.

I think those weak vamps may not be fully developed...... I think the nano machines may need a set amont of time before it takes full effect, there's also the thing about compatiblitys too.
