    Same here.
Nihei's artwork is just so original while its only a guilty pleasure for me to like Gantz.
The artwork isnt anything extraordinary but the story has really got me wanting see to what happens next.

    Kompozit,
Have you seen any of Nihei's other projects?

u dont need dialogue to make a good story, ever heard the phrase "a picture tells 1000 words" blame is an excellent manga and is worth getting.

well online it has finished, and tokyo pop released the first volume earlier this month. they made the issues pretty thick, probably to compensate for the lack of text.

Yes. I read NOiSE, the first tankubon of Biomega, also read the debute work blame (not Blame!). and I have the artbook Blame! and so on...
actually I translated Blame! into hungarian, but I didn't pay enough attention so it isn't really as good as it should be. and the only released first biomega book is also translated by me and my pal.

Oku Hiroya's GANTZ is (in my point of view piont) more an intertaining slasher-pics with social "drama" + etc + ecchi...
Nihei Tsutomu-sensei's Blame! is more about the edge of graphical novell's, techno-minimalistic / intellectual, misteryous and extremely exciting though entertaining as well. with a big bad-ass dose of ballad like fog, lacking information. there you HAVE to use your mind get the puzzles somehow togheter. but so or so, the personal experience of finding out connections, revealing stuffs is subjective to the reader. At GANTZ it's more the conventional line with unconventional happenings, semi-unconditional routes of personalities.
Blame! uses non-schematic solutions with extraordinare/maximum-boost cyber-punk visual-orgasm actions WITHIN a vvvery unconventional enviroment.

tough... as we all know, places placed in the far-faaaar future, human-race dead, and technokrate cyber-punkism ISN'T an unconventional enviroment. but the way of SHOWING it... NOWW that IS fantastic and UNconventional.

BUT.... GANTZ is for a younger age group (more alike a popular line)...
whereas BLAME! is for 18+ 21-3x people. and not especially for male. it is a "unisex" manga.
