    Im 19.

I cant imagine anyone 15 or below really getting the story beneath the story of Gantz. Hell, im not sure I get it.

    What? Gantz is pretty straightforward.

In terms of theme and ideas, its insanely complex. I could write a thesis based just on the idea of morality as portrayed in the Gantz universe. And as a branching idea, the relation of others to ourselves and the limits we go to for other human beings.

I could go on all day, it really is very layered.

If you think Gantz is straightforward, then im sorry to say, but i dont think you are reading Gantz for the right reasons.

There are only two reasons why people read Gantz: Sex and Gore. Nuff said

If you think people will read Gantz to go make a 3 hour reflexion on the status of mortality and Mankind's condition, you're wrong. Gantz is about entertainment and these come in the form of Sex and Gore.

Gantz is about Kei Reactions about that he is dead but alive and seeing his "friends" dying
and one of his "friends" killing his girlfriend

    Etc.....

I refuse to believe that is the ONLY reason people read Gantz. It doesnt have THAT much sex in it, and as for gore...I refuse to believe anyone is reading something just for blood lol.

Whether you realize it or not, a part of you reads Gantz because of the execution of its themes and such. The questions are always in the back of your mind, just like they are in the back of Kei's mind. Its amazing how we all forgot the WHY of what is happening, but thats part of the storytellers genius. You forget the why until another piece of the puzzle slaps you right in the face.

Please, dont belittle Gantz or its readers by assuming they are just gore bound fetish freaks who are also incapable of deciphering story. I have seen a lot of the people on here make very educated speculations on Gantz, its existence, and its future. There would be no talk of that if they were just in it for gore and sex as you say.
