Oku's new manga - Me Teru

I'll not ask you why Oku take his break, I reassure you :p
Even if I won't talk of Gantz, I think this topic has his place here^^

Yesterday, a corean fan send me an email with some pics of the Young Jump with a pin-up who looks like to Reika. After some research, I discovered that Oku begin a new manga intitled " Me-Teru no Kimochi ".

A friend translate the text and apparently the manga talk about a 30 years old guy who remained 15 years locked into his room (remember you in GTO, the son of a Yakuza who didn't leave of his bedroom since his mother's dead, it's the same thing here^^)

So, the break of Oku wasn't for think about the scenario of Gantz but to launch his new manga :/

damn i would have rather prefered he continued with gantz.

Yeah, it looks like to NHK apparently but the comic less I think^^

In Japan maybe, but in the others country... This phenomene is specific to the Japan, I'm not sure that there will be many foreign lectors ^^"
At least, wa can say that Oku makes in the original between Hen, Gantz and now Me-teru ^^

maybe oku will give the new manga a twist of some sort so that it will become a bit interesting i mean his artwork rules big time.

Well, that´s sad. But thank for the info kei-kun. For us it means, that he´ll probably take longer breaks in future, because it´s more work to draw 2 manga. What is Oku thinking? I hope he´ll finish Gantz. And I don´t think he can make a better sucess than Gantz. It´s a one-hit-wonder. So why does he try?
Nonetheless I like the pics. I love his women, they´re so beautiful...If there are any scanlations I guess I will try it.

Oku's stories are always different and unique, so im quite optimistic about this new project. What i dont like is the fact that his more popular manga, Gantz, will see less effort from him.

Tho' its understandable why he would want to change projects. After spending some much time on one thing, you would become bored.

hmmm, i wanna read that on, you guys better get your hands on the raws when its released >.>

i don't think oku is bored of gantz, otherwise he could have ended the series.

i think oku had a lot of ideas that he just couldn't work into gantz. this is the outcome of those ideas.
