wow this is great...just great...great way to end the 1st phase...it was total crap...i thought there would be more to akira... there's no way akira is gonna come back. and as for kurono i think it's gonna be a whole entire season about katou before kurono is gonna get revived back. the fact that izumi died was already bad enough but the main character kurono is gonna be gone too? this really sucks especially how oku ended it with a cliffhanger until 4 months....
The Last Page, Did Anyone Notice Theres A Black Person In A Gantz Suit, A Black Person, Finally A Smart One Yay!
Maybe He'll Survive Man!
I guess you like stupid cliché's then. Maybe it would have been better if Kurono killed the vampire leader, then returned to the room only to have a mission where he has to fight his brother... But its not like everybody else thought about this...

And it probably won't be explained either from what we've seen from oku so far, he doesn't really like explaining stuff and likes to keep us guessing...
edit: theres also a bright side to gantz though like how it's not gonna end (as u can tell from seeing that demon alien) and the expanding of gantz story into the world. unlike death note that ended with a crappy ending and a stupid moral in the end.

I think that these 'plot holes' are the reason that Oku is taking this break. The manga had finished building into Kurono and Izumi's character, only in death do you see Izumi's former self before Gantz influenced his life.
I must admit that Akira being dead came as a big shock, and i am also dissapointed, but i have a large feeling that the vampire just materialised the head (same way they materilise their weapons) and Akira is fine.
As far as Cherry and Sakata's psychic powers being explained goes, things like the point of Gantz, and the mission are sure to be explained, and there has already been hints to larger things in the Gantz story.
There were black people earlier, the Americans...they liked Kurono...but then they died.

The head looked fairly normal, so he couldn't have drained it of blood. Either Oku screwed up drawing it, or that head was a fake.
Come to think of it, where was that head in 236? I don't remember it being there.
The lack of Akiras head in the previous chapter was also the reason to me thinking it was fake, and i also thought it was a bit too clean.
Way i see it the vampire leader is still clueless as to how Kurono was prepared, tho he might have a slight clue seeing how Akira would want to get back at him for the event at the club. He just used the fact that he knew who his brother was as a way to throw his emotions out of wack, and make him easier to deal with.
This reminds me of Naruto. Anyway, this is actually great. I believed that Oku was on his way to finnish this manga soon, but this just proves that it's much more left. I believe at least 10 volumes.
