Maybe gantz has a way of taking back those that got out already like what happened to izumi. But now his dead and all the the others before kurono so maybe the aliens are not really just for training. I think gantz just want to kill all the aliens whether they are a threat or not.

the 100 point menu is to keep them from killing them selfs a reson to live on but you make a good point but remember what happend to izumi maybe there never relly free

Perhaps the black ball was spawned later when Gantz wanted to contact Izumi...

with izumi dead supoasibly im pretty sure kurono will be pulledinto gantz some how

Not sure if its been mentioned before( probably has ) though when kurono failed he had to get 15 points on the next mission or he would die.

Not surprising if this happened to Izumi although he did get a good sendoff ie killling a bunch of vamps and dying in his chicks arms.

Back to the question at hand Gantz pulled Kurono back pretty quickly and sent him off solo against those... bah weird angel type aliens.... after a mission so I would think from that that Gantz has something against aliens in general.

Or for that matter anything that has a potential to disrupt the general populace, like the vamps. As it seems they dont seem particular tough only certain vamps in general. Also there was that demonic type creature who beat up everyone who was friendly with the vamps indicating that the aliens and the vamps are somehow involved?

Ive noticied something... The hostile aliens only started appearing as Kurono and the others went through more missions. I mean, Onion and Tanaka aliens were both pretty friendly until they were provoked, and the Buddah aliens seemed to think they were killing in self defense. Even the shorty aliens weren't completely evil. But as they got to the Kappa, Ring and Oni aliens they were hostile from the start. Maybe its just that weak aliens are friendly and strong aliens are hostile? Maybe the weak aliens grow into the stronger ones and their personalities change or something. I dunno.

That's what I love about Gantz. You don't have any idea what the hell's going on. But you do know that it's cool and you want to find out.

yay!! we've got something good to think about here xD

you see, she was chosen by gantz just for being at the worng place in the worst moment (and holding a camera); she was pointed as an alien and Izumi even got points for killing her. we have read the manga up to this point (hopefully), and I don't think you'd seriously say that Kojima Tae was a treat to mankind (I repeat: seriously). now, we've seen that the aliens were capable of defending, but the only ones we've seen actually killing anybody are always humans (gantzers and vamps). as somebody said before, some of the aliens just might be living on earth peacefully while others are ploting an attack; gantz' reasons for choosing them are still a mistery, but we've seen that there were missions after a "provocation" (tae in the manga and kurono in the anime); maybe he does actually need to locate the aliens (or receive some advice) before a mission and that's why there are periods in between them
