Oh yeah,how many vampire boss did izumi killed,three? Man..in just one chapter, I think Oku is rushing it.

Maybe Oku is planning on taking a vacation, wants to get the series ended. The guy never takes vacations so he could sure use one :-p.

That, or he has something bigger in store. I see it as: "You see these Vamps? The ones you thought would be strong? Yeah, three of 'em just died. Didn't expect that, now did you? Here, let's kill of Izumi too. Mwahahaha." The entire scenario seems like the mangaka's attempt to keep us on our toes, is all.

On the last page it as said Izumi was part of the injured victim. So he's not dead yet.

Well, according to Illuminati-Manga & TOWNL's translation, he's an "Identified Victim", not a "Injured Victim", and unless that's wrong, which I doubt....

Here's the thing about Illuminati Gantz releases: We use two translators.

From HISSH:

"TV:
List of injured/killed:
Izumi Shion (17)

From Cain:

"On screen from top:
- Identified Victims -
Shion Izumi san (17)
Yukichi Yamada san (53)
- - - - - - - san (25)"

Japanese is an odd language, and direct translation to English can have many variations. We can't be sure if Izumi is dead or merely injured.

Let me repeat: Izumi's death has NOT been confirmed. We only know he is a victim.

Izumi’s girlfriend is pretty cute… I had already forgotten about her.

Anyway, Izumi sure is one hell of a tough guy… That cut he took on his back seemed pretty serious, yet he stood up like he just shook it off… I don’t think he’s dead. I’m so looking forward to his new weapon that I’d be very disappointed if he just died like this, even though I don’t like his character all that much. Besides, he just doesn’t look dead, and death doesn’t suit him, in my point of view… Yeah.
