Thread: End of Gantz

You know, all good (and bad) animes and mangas have to come to an end. How do you all think gantz is gonna end? Is Kuruno just gonna get like a hundred points and be done with it? This is what i think:

First of all i think Gantz never ends. This is based on the facts that to even get a hundred points, you have to be crazy. Look at the guy who beat Gantz, Izumi. The guy is so fxxked up in the head that its like coming out of his ears. Also look at the middle schooler. He didnt beat Gantz, but he got really close. The dude was Shinji on crack, with a gun! Plus you have too look at Kuruno. There is no way that guy is going to make it out of Gantz intact. I mean it may seem like he's almost done with the game and all but think about it, is Gantz going to let him off of it so easy? The impression i get from Gantz is that he's going to find some way to screw Kuruno over until he gets bored with him. You can't think Gantz is gonna play fair. I'm pretty sure even after a hundred points, your still going to be fxxked in the head and craving more.

Well thats what i think Gantz is about, but what'll probably happen is for like the final hunt, they'll have to fight Gantz himself and kill him and than everyone from the Memory will come back to life and it will be some big happy ending. This isn't what i would like to happen, but it probably will.

Anyways I want to hear what you all have to say!

it'll be moving, ppl dying, yadeeyadeeyada. kurono will live through all this shit and maybe he wakes up and finds himself in bed. then go "OMFG WAS THAT ALL A DREAM".

no seriously, before we figure out the purpose of gantz (assuming there is one), we cant guess what the ending is.

I thinks that Gant will have the open ending or it'll continue to the next 5 years Actually the story can be continued infinitly but it's already moment when everyone gets bored with the cycle "dayly life > gantz romm > hunt > scoring >daily life" There must be something pretty new. We shuld know what is Gantz about my Gess it's a machine protecting earth from the vampires and other ivaders. I think in next 10 episodes we get some important clues. Mybe Kei get 200 points and revive 2 pople. In anyway there must be some really brand new in the story to keep it hot.

Maybe how it will end is that Tae will be revived and be forced to play as a Gantz hunter. But she won't be able to kill anything so she won't be able to collect points. So Kurono will take it upon himself to take down Gantz itself in order to get her out. At the end, after much suffering and death, he'll emerge from it all, with or without Tae, and try to pick up the pieces of his old life. Meh, just guessing.

Nishi eluded to an end of the world situation on his website. I think strange as it may seem Gantz might actually be protecting the humans. He only takes dead people. And it would be the kind of bizarre plot twist that this author seems to get off on.

Hey I have no idea how Gantz will turn out, and i do agree, that would be a really lousy ending. Truthfully, i have no idea whats gonna happen in Gantz. Thats kinda why i started this thread in the first place.

Well GantZ is an really shitty "worlds protector" if that were to be.
He did order Izumi to kill all those people in ------ in Tokyo, he cold've predicted it would be tougher later on and strong warriors were needed and so... but before he just played around with "his" dead people, now it's like he is willing to offer the ones he's supposed to protect.
I don't really buy that.

As for the ending..... i'll come back to that.

I never even really thought that Gantz was protecting anyone, i mean it's possible. I think its all just a big game that he plays for fun, like videogames we play now, just with real people. But think about it, you dont worry about the lives of anyone in Halo (ill peg a marine in the back of the head if he looks at me funny). It could be the same perspective for him.

Wouldnt it be funny if it all was a reality show in the end. It would suck for and ending, but it would be ironic.

I think someone should re-read it.
