Well, I liked the ending. But I think I wouldn´t like it if there wasn´t the manga. Because then it would be the ending of Gantz and that would suck. But for me the manga is the "true" Gantz series so I could enjoy seeing some new stuff without caring if the anime ending is a good ending for Gantz(because I still expect the ending). I found the anime kinda boring after reading the manga, so I was looking forward too see the new stuff. It kinda remembered me of Battle Royal with that "who´s playing" thing. Furthermore I asked myself how this situation would end. Quite intersting.

I could have written a better script for the last episodes myself. But it would take some time. Maybe they didn't have that ammount of time what do I know but I think they should have spent more time on the last episodes.

Like most people would say, the ending sucked ass (I watched GANTZ before reading it) and I stand by that. I'm not a fan of half-assed endings.

Since the ending was rushed there was no resolution and though there probably was some deeper message to it, because it sucked so much, I just didn't bother to think about it.

I probably need to watch it again because I don't remember it too clearly, but they should have just ended the series right there at the Buddha mission. I felt so cheated from watching how they ended off a (potentially) great series with a lame ending.

The final mission wasn't that bad, the writers tried to relate everyone to Kei (the woman, the shopkeeper, the teacher, etc.) and it sort of worked (altough I hated the blue haired psycho and the shopkeeper was like Katou on steroids with his diplomacy thing...you can't try diplomacy on a psycho x_X) until the very end, when things turned...bizarre. The scene between Kei and the train was "perfect", the cycle was closing, but the open ending (did Kei live? what happened to Gantz ? why did it leave the apartment ?) was too...dissapointing, I had expected Kei to be free but forgotten everything...

Daaamn... i didn't like the ending at all. Hellsing was spoilt just in the same way. I can't understand the man who tries to invent something cool and clever, when the original plot itself is cool and clever!

Well...i didn't like the anime too. The action was soooooo slow, that manga's atmosphere had absolutely dissapeared.

I agree with most of everything that's been said. I don't think that I would appreciate the anime ending as much if there wasn't the manga to tell the rest of the story. They completely perved out Kurono in the anime, he was a real asshole and they kind of messed up Kato as well. They did improve Kishimoto and Tetsu the biker's characters, though. And the final scene of Kurono and the train was a pretty right feeling moment (that sounds weird, but I don't know how else to say it). It's funny that Hellsing was brought up because whereas some people are saying that the final mission of Gantz wasn't bad, just the very end that sucked, I didn't like the last few eps of Hellsing but I thought that the way Hellsing was ended (with Alucard offering Integra the chance to be a vampire) was a great way to end it.

I didn't like the ending. The feel was too different to the rest of the series.

In general, the series was too slow, though ("We've got to kill that thing!" *stand still for 10 minutes*)
